How heavy is too heavy to ride?

Hello there, THANK YOU for posting this! I signed up right away! When I weighed only 260lbs (my highest got to 360), I was turned away from a riding stable to take lessons. I was so completely humiliated. It was horrible. It was wonderful to read this. I would like to shove it in thier faces. I had surgery a little over a year & a half ago so now I would qualify to ride at their barn, but there is no way in heck I would. Finances aren't in a spot where I can take lessons at this time, but I can't wait til I can! Anyway, I just wanted to thank you for posting this.
