The Positractor's proximal clamp affixes to abdominal-type rings commonly in use such as the Bookwalter. It also can be used on rod-shaped systems such as the "Thompson". The proximal clamp locks on the support ring either straignt up or inverted so as to orient the starting locus of the flexible arm. The Positractor's distal clamp is variable in capacity and accepts shanks up to 8mm plus in diameter as well as odd shapes.
