    Topic: Interior Decoration
My husband and I just bought our first new townhome together and I am not very good at decorating. I was just wondering if you could possibly give me some suggestions. My Kitchen and my family room kind of run together. We already bought a table with the lighter wood top and the white stand underneath. The chairs are also a lighter wood and white. I really like the color sage green for my kitchen. Can you give me any suggestions what to do for paint? Also, I had read some of your earlier comments about an individual with the greens and blues on their walls, and you mentioned to have darker furniture. Will my house look okay since we already have that lighter table? I thought with the lighter table being in the same room as the living room, I would have to go with lighter furniture to kind of match the kitchen table wood’s lightness. If you could help me out in any way I would be grateful!! thanks.

Hi! I am also a new Home Interiors consultant, working in the SW Twin Cities Metro area in Minnesota. If anyone is interested in hosting a party please send me an e-mail. Also if anyone is a consultant in the Twin Cities Metro and would not mind having me come along to some parties to observe, please contact me ASAP. I somehow got recruited out of Hutchinson, and although the group is great, I would like not to have to drive so far! Heidi L-S

Congradulations on deciding to take the home study course. I have taken the one from Career Development Insitute and I found it to be wonderful. It enabled me to learn at my own speed and I finished it within a yrs time. Now that I am done, I have put in many applications but without hire. I think it either has to be my age or my weight problem that has held me back from getting a new job. Maybe after surgery I will start looking again and seeing if I was right about the weight thing. Keep me posted on your decision for schooling and surgery! Good luck with both! Kathy J Duluth, MN

I know its been a while since you posted this, but I have an answer nonetheless. I have a theme for each room. I sell decorating gifts and accessories for a well known company (email me if you'd like more info on that) and there are too many themes I like to just settle on one for the whole house. I live in an apt and have run out of rooms, but will hopefully have a house soon and there are more themes I'd like to add. My bedroom's theme is angels my living room is country casual (pics of horses, figurines of dogs, roosters, farm equip, etc.), my bathroom is americana/patriotic and my dining room has a country charm w/ apples and roosters my office is mostly safari --Lisa N

Do you have a theme for everyroom? Or do you have a theme for the house as a whole? If it is for everyroom list what the themes are for each room. Shannon The Irish Lassie
