...And How long do you have to wait after eating to drink

My doctor told me not to drink 1/2 hr before and 1 hour after I eat.  This is sometimes hard and hard to get liquids in. 

I drink up until i eat sometimes then wait 30 mins after meal to drink. I was banded on 12/28/12 and lost 22lbs  so far.....goal is to lose 90 total....

I drink right up until I start eating. Then after that my doctor told me not to drink for an hour. I've never heard anyone being told to wait an hour and a half. That would be way too hard!
