Are Soft Gel Vitamins OK??????

HI All,

I got a call from my Dr. office. I have a vitamin D deficiency and I need to take vitamin D with Calcium. I bought a liquid brand. But, I will be traveling and with all the airline rules and them allowing only 3oz bottles I figured I should buy a pill. I went to the Vitamin Shoppe and all I found were horse pill ( large size pills) and a soft gel which was small and I thought would be easy to swallow. NOW my question is. Is OK to take Soft Gels. I'm concerned about blockage from the coating. Have any of you taken soft gels? Were you OK? Did it go down without any issues?
I take a small gel pill the omega xl along with my vitamin and its been ok for me. To be safe call your dr office and ask the nurse. I can't say for sure it's ok for you because I take it but I have not had any problems so far.

i currently take centrum chewables :)  seem to do just fine with me.. little bit of a bad aftertaste but if you eat it with something in the am it should be ok :)

I take this vitamin as well but she needs a vitamin just for D I think. I crush mines so the orange taste isnt too bad I just dont like it to get in my teeth. I swallow it off the spoon.

My nutritionist recommended Vitafusion Vitamin D supplement and it's like a gummi bear type of chew.  Maybe this can work. I got it at my supermarket.

I take a liquid-gel Vitamin D3 because it is so tiny. It's worked for me. I am afraid to try out large tablets and the gels are easy to get through my band.
Thank you all for your reply. I think I will try them out today and hope for the the best. I think that if it's OK to have gummies it should be OK to have soft gel.All your responses were greatly appreciated.
