What can YOU eat????

So after my last fill I am at the point where there is not much I can eat.  I know I shouldn't eat too many soft foods, but that seems to be all I can eat.  Although there are some strange things that I CAN eat that I didn't think I would be able to (popcorn).  I am looking for some healthy suggestions of easier to eat foods.  I am intolerant to rice, pasta ,bread...ect...  I know I do need more protien but me and meat are NOT getting along.  Plus I don't have time to cook much between work and teaching ZUMBA 3 times a week so I need options on the go too.  I have GOT to make sure I am fueling my body so that I don't burn out especially on the days I teach ZUMBA.  What kind of suggestions can YOU offer???  THANKS!!

If you cannot eat dense protein and keep it down, you are too tight.  The object of the game is to get the band secure enough to limit your intake without eliminating your intake.  You must be able to eat protein.  Please dont keep your band too tight or we will be hearing from you about losing your band.

Well at night I can eat things like chicken...if moist, hamburger, pork, ...ect.  But during the day, it's vary rare for me to eat very much.  Usally I can eat around 8-9 at night and I can handle about a 1/2 C of food.  I am hoping I just need to get used to it or that I am just eating the wrong things.  My doctor is 1 hour away and I have to pay $150 everytime I get adjusted.  I have to save the $ if I have to get an unfill.  So frustrating!!

I am not an expert on nutrition by any means but are you saying that you only eat 8 oz of food for the entire day?  There is another poster on this board suffering from malnutrition!  IMO, that is simply not enough to sustain you and the weight loss is simply not worth losing your life.   Pleeeeeeeeese get some fluid taken out.   You are way too tight..and other issues can't be far behind.

5.50 cc in a 10cc lapband  (four  fills) 1 unfill of .5cc  on 5/24/2011.
.5 fill  March 2012. unfill of .25cc May 2012.

I agree, you are too tight.  You need to have a small unfill, like .5 cc or something. I'd question any doctor who would leave you tight and not do an un-fill, within a certain amount of time, for free.
my vote is unfill a bit as well

If you don't unfill now it will cost you more in the long run.  My surgeon told me if you can't eat lean protein you need an unfill...no buts about it.  If you are throwing up...you need to call him...no buts about it.  He is very clear about what is NORMAL.  And what you are describing isn't normal and you are wroking your way to a slip and maybe losing your band.  This will cost you more money in the long run and of course will cost you your band and your possibly your health.

And to answer your question...I can eat anything.  I just can't eat as much as I want. There are things I can eat too much of like crackers and cookies...so I stay away from them.  Lean proteins and fresh fruits and veggies I can eat about 6-8 oz of and feel pretty satisfied for a few hours.  I can eat pasta and brad but choose to limit those and when I do eat them I eat only whole grain.  No more white for me.
Thanks all....I wasn't sure when was the right time to ask for an unfill since I have been fine up to this point...but I think it's time.  I am so miserable and I don't want to risk any further complications.

I have days where I can eat something, but the next day I can't. I keep greek yogurt and ready mixed protein shakes on hand for those occasions. Tuna and most fish I can do. All other meats I usually have to do in a crock pot. Even then it'**** or miss.
It sure is a journet....

I hear you...even before my last fill I did find that some days I could eat better than others.  So strange!   Tell you one thing I have really learned to slow it down, I used to scarf food so fast now...no way!!!
