What is a troll?

I joined a couple of weeks ago because I wanted to find out all that I could about lap band failures. I have been checking out as many sites as I can find and asked some questions related to lap band and revision to RNY.

Does that make me look like a mole?
Piglet: "How do you spell love?"
Pooh: "You don't spell it, you feel it"
Only to the extremely paranoid people who think that everyone's out to get them.
OK, seriously, who's accusing you of being a "mole?" That's silly.

Just keep reading and researching. Ignore the less than friendly responses.

If you're having band problems, you're not alone, that's for sure. There are many of us who can relate to what you're going through.

Let me guess who challenged you. Does her name start with an "n"?  . . .

Banded since 2003, maintaining my weight loss and still knowing I made the right choice for me. If you want information on what life is like for a band success, have questions or need help and suggestions on band life, feel free to message me. Otherwise, just read the Lapband Forum.

Not you! Or at least I assume not!  A troll uses one or multiple identities to stir emotions on a board by posing as a genuine poster but asking questions or describing imaginry experiences with no purpose other than to cause dissension. If Bette is right about your challenger, ignore her! Everyone except recent board arrivals does!

It really doesn't matter who. I just think that it is sad that people are looking for help on sites and then they are treated that way
I am really upset about it. It makes me want to delete everything that I have worked on so far.

Don't do that, Muitti. Stick around. There are people who can help.

Good luck on whatever you decide to get.
There will always be the negative ones that we all have to deal with.... I live by one rule when it comes to them....

....JUST KEEP SWIMMING

No one is in this race for me except me, and I will do what I need to do to reach MY goals :) be it reading information, asking questions, or aggravating my friends with updates on what I am doing that is or is not working as far as those that have negative things to say....

I shrug and think...how sad...they are so unhappy with themselves that they feel the need to attack me and try to bring me to that level...

.....JUST KEEP SWIMMING eventually they leave and you come to clearer waters with your friends swimming along side you :)

...just keep swimming,

 This is wonderful. Keep swimming
I think you bring up a good question that I would hope admin would look into.
Why does anyone want to come here asking questions and seriously looking for answers anymore when all they do is get attacked by one side or another?
The bickering amongst everyone needs to stop.  People need to stop getting in debates about the band, tell their story and let everyone decide for themselves what they want to do...
WOW! Thanks you guys. I was seriously feeling bad.
I feel the same way about the debate. The band didnt work for me for whatever reason and the people who are researching should read the stories of people who have had the band. If that changes their mind then so be it. And if our stories help the FDA or whoever wants to ban the band, then they should ask permission to use our stories.
This is such an eye opener for me!
Piglet: "How do you spell love?"

Don't worry what other people say..If I worried about all the neg. things that were said on here I would have not gotten my band.    .Everyone is different. Some it works for, others it doesn't..The ones that it doesn't work for will always ba**** I researched the band for my self and decieded for myself to get it. No one talked me into it or out of it.. Just ask, read, reply and then deciede for yourself..But, PLEASE take everything lightly.. I have had my ups and downs with my band..Only because I didn't listen to the facts and thought I knew everything..I still ask questions and I am 3 1/2 yrs. out..I gain and I loose.. The band is a tool only..You have to work it to make it successful.. Sometimes I eat things I shouldn't and then I pay for it..   I love the slidders and when I eat them I know I will gain weight.. But, I do it anyway..  But, I cause the weight gain not the BAND.. I get stuck from not chewing,  the BAND didn't cause me to get stuck (I should have knew better and chewed longer)..So keep on reading and asking questions.   .You will soon learn who you can trust and who you can't...I wish you the very best in your journey...       Hugs...'LUCKY"

Thank you Lucky!

That doesn't make you a mole, that makes you smart. Research all you can. You will find there are LOTS of ppl in the same position you are in unfortunately. The Lap-Band seems to be a short term "fix" at best. :-(
