It's there... the damage... whether we're compliant or not. Just the band BEING there causes damage in a lot of people.
The tips you've given are fine and dandy for the lucky person whose body tolerates the band being there... but for most everyone else, they don't work. There are many people on this board, right this minute, who have done everything right... and still have pain and problems. They can't be "mindful" of their eating when eating causes tremendous pain. 99% of problems cannot be resolved by utilizing the tips you've provided. I'm sure you know this. We just don't have that much control over our internal anatomy. You can't really believe that 99% of problems can be resolved that easily, right? (You got 99 problems but a ***** ain't one?)
Most of us are simply trying to help others avoid this same fate. I don't think anyone is trying to scare anyone "crapless," personally. At some point, however people might NEED to be scared "crapless" in order to break free from the, "I must have done something wrong" mode of thinking.
