Raspberries?

Is it just me or does anyone else have a problem with raspberries?  I love them, but I'm having problems eating them.  When I eat them I start feeling as if I'm stuck.  I guess I have to stay away from them which is a bummer because I love them and have a ton of bushes right outside our little summer cabin.

Puree 'em and put them on some yogurt!

I have had problem with them ever since I got my band. I think it is because you just can't chew them! I can and do eat them but only a few, eaten with great care and only as a treat!

Trying mixing them with other berries and/or puree or chop them.  The yogurt suggestion was a good one but you might put them into yogurt and add protein powder and make a shake.
They DO have those little hairs on 'em, so that could be causing you trouble.

Yes I have trouble getting them down when they are fresh.  I have no problem with frozen ones.

I also buy the freezed dried raspberries from Trader Joes  - they melt on your tongue and are delicious.
Remember, if you want to be a 155 pound person, you have to EAT like one.

Thanks for all the tips!  I guess I'll stick to pureeing them.  They are pretty good in a shake.  Bette, I think you're right, it may be those little hairs along with the tiny seeds.

Thanks again,
Wendy
Seedy berries can be problematic for me too. Strawberries in particular. Not sure why.
