I'm band free!

Well I survived my surgery and am now band free, I feel better already! I can swallow better and my gut hurts less. We'll see how well it is after the surgical swelling goes down. My lungs came thru with flying colors, didn't even need the breathing machine afterwards, woke up with no tube in my nose. What a relief that was! So I free of that horrid thing but I'll still be around here to annoy everyone!

Enormous e hug!

Highest 290, Banded - 248   Lowest 139 (too thin!). Comfort zone 155-165.

Happily banded since May 2006.  Regain of 28lbs 2013-14.  ALL GONE!

But some has returned! Up to 175, argh! Off we go again,

Awesome. You going to revise?

246 in Dec 2008 before banded 1/28/09 at 215 lbs, band crapped 9/09 at 170 lbs and struggled with it and regained to 203 revised to bypass on 8/1/11 and am very happy.

Nope my lungs are too bad to do that so will just have to watch myself closely.

I am coming in on the tail end of this convo.  I have had my band for 3 almost 4 years now and I am still having trouble with vomiting and eating in general.  I can't eat eggs anymore....:-( .  I am just curious why you chose to reverse it and did your insurance cover it?

I had mine removed last week. Had it for 9 yrs.  I am pain free , but nervous about the future.  Good luck to you.
