Is the band by any chance causing you to vomit alot? If so that may be a cause but many other things can also cause it, when did you get your band?

Hair loss after surgery is usually from rapid weight loss (which you say you haven't had and is usually for the other surgeries anyway) or from the anaesthetic.  If the latter, it tends to happen about three months poet-op and by the time you notice it, regrowth has started.

Highest 290, Banded - 248   Lowest 139 (too thin!). Comfort zone 155-165.

Happily banded since May 2006.  Regain of 28lbs 2013-14.  ALL GONE!

But some has returned! Up to 175, argh! Off we go again,

Were you banded this August? So about three months ago?

if so unless you have major physical complications, this is much too early to consider revision surgery. You have had major surgery but have not even given it time to get proper levels of saline, let alone learn how to work with band.

how much weight have you lost? In three months with the band, unless you started extremely heavy, anything between 15 and 25lb would be within the expected range. Because we get nothing from the band except a diminution of hunger, loss is down to us! And it's not easy.  But three or even for months is not giving it a chance!

But to add to my previous post, if you are three months out, that is the classic time fir telogen effluvium to manifest itself. Google it; hair loss (temporary) as the result of trauma, including anaesthetic.

If you're losing hair at an alarming rate at 4 yrs out, it's time for a full nutritional workup to see where you are malnourished, which is likely the cause.

I already had that done it was fine. I'll see what the GYN Dr. has to say on Friday.

And how do you define "fine"?  How many vials did they draw?

When I get a full nutritional workup done, they pull a minimum of 12 vials of blood out of me.  If you've gotten less than 10, then you haven't gotten a full nutritional workup.
