Topic: RE: What are you eating today (Thursday) or yesterday?

I must be strange Jean. I cannot fathom opening a box or package I haven't already paid for. If the box has to be opened to make sure all pieces were there because someone has already mangled it, I do it with assistance from an employee. I must be the odd one in that. Course then again I used to work in retail a good number of years. It might have something to do with it.

B: homemade redskin potato spiced hash browns, whole wheat english muffin, egg, fat free cheddar cheese slice, nitrate/etc/etc free sausage patty

S: yogurt

L: dinner leftovers from last night, bacon cheeseburger half with steamed broccoli (i discovered having them take out 3 CCs, i can eat bread again. it was the first bacon cheeseburger i had the luxury to eat in almost two years. i admit it was heavenly. still only ate half though. i'd like to keep off as much of the 150 i've lost as possible)

S: hummus and carrots

D: not sure at this point

S: protein fruit smoothie

Exercise: woke up late. going to have to go hop on  a recumbent bike and swim laps this afternoon after i go hunt up a present from the hubby for Yule this afternoon.

Topic: THURSDAY GRATEFUL POST

Good Thursday Morning Everyone,

Hope your all having a great week and getting closer to finishing up all your Christmas shopping.    I am as done with my shopping as I am going to get.   LOL   I haven't even began my Christmas baking though.    I personally am not going to do as much as I usually do though.    I am trying hard to loose some weight and it's too hard when I have baked goods sitting in my house calling my name.   LOL   Today I am so grateful for the cold weather although I can't seem to get warm easily,    I do realize that we need the cold weather to kill out all the bugs that "bug" us during the other seasons.   LOL  Hope that makes sense.   LOL I am also grateful for Christmas time and the "true reason" for the season and not just Santa.   Grateful for the joy that this time of year creates for people and I also pray for the people who hurt because of losing a loved one at this time of year.    I am grateful for all the blessings that the good Lord has given to me and my family this past year and I am also happy for the trials that have come my way because I know that they came to make me a much stronger person.    Grateful for life itself today and for my wonderful family.    Grateful for my precious 4 month old granddaughter who is the light of my life.     Grateful for Obesity Help and for all the support and encouragement that I have received over the the past 7+ yrs. that I have been on this website.     PLEASE share if you wish what you are grateful for today and have a blessed and safe day.

Hugs and blessings ~~~ Vivian

Topic: RE: New Lap Band Study: Impact of Lap-Band Size on Weight Loss

As Reader's Digest will tell you, laughter is the best medicine.

My advice may be crap, but I'm usually good for a laugh!

Hope you feel better soon.

Topic: What are you eating today (Thursday) or yesterday?

As Christmas draws ever closer, shoppers grow ever more anxious about finding the right gift in the right size and color. This has nothing to do with food, but it's a question burning in my mind so I'll go ahead and ask it. At JCP we have granny panty sets of 3 panties in a sealed poly bag. There's a photo on the front of the package to show what the panties look like. So why do customers rip open the package to look at the panties themselves, then toss the opened package any old where and buy the exact same item in the exact same size? Why is it important for them to take home a virgin package? Are they giving granny panties as a gift? Surely not.

OK, I guess that's out of my system. For now.

Today's food plan:
B: protein latte
S: scrambled egg beaters w/ scallions, mushrooms & cheese
S: cinnamon oatmeal breakfast cookie
L: leftover shrimp with tomatillos, polenta
S: trail mix
S: chocolate cherry protein ball
D: leftover steak, braised cabbage & onions
S: peanut butter banana chips

No exercise class today because the store opens early. Sigh.

Have a super day!

Jean

Topic: RE: What are you eating today (Wednesday) or yesterday?

Your menu looks great. Sounds like you're doing better with eating now.

Many Christmases ago, our first French bulldog somehow got on top of our coffee table and ate all the candy (mostly chocolate, some peppermints, individually wrapped) that I'd put out in a bowl while the rest of us were in the dining room eating dinner. He suffered no ill effects, though the wrappers may have tickled a bit on their way out of his butt.

As for the continue sitting around shedding, our dogs do plenty of that too, though it's more like lying around napping and shedding. In between hurling insults at the mail carrier, UPS driver, and leaves blowing across the lawn.

Maybe you could call it Thumbkin. At least until you know if it's a puppy or a kitten.

Thank you for your responses.  True, maybe I will have to accept that I will have to work harder.  I have lost some weight, but not what I expected.  My doc wants me to be stable.

Hopefully this little relief will result in something more permanent.
A nice lil victory for you today!

I am soooo sorry you are going through this. A friend of mine had her band erode last year , it took time for her to heal. She lost more weight in her healing process.
Take time to breathe and process it All out. You sound like you have come to terms with this information rather well.
My prayers are with you for a speedy recovery,
