This is interesting. I am going to ask my doctors office on Monday and see if it is possible they can only repair the site that has the leak. You have been very helpful.

Actually he does Lap-Band and Sleeve.....not sure if he does more. He is moving his office to the new Forest Park location off of East 75 & Forest at that new hospital....not at Medical City. They will be moving Oct.1. He still does surgery every Mon, Tue, Thur & Friday. He is VERY busy in big medicine.

I thought the doctor said mine was at the port site. So, if it is at the site, then only the port needs repaired? This is all new to me. Thanks for the help.

Good question. I didnt know you could just get teh leak repaired. How is that done? The Dr. just said to me that I will need the band replaced and I didnt know to ask if the leak could be fixed. Thank you.

Actually that is a very old tracker and I have not updated it. :( 210 was my highest weight and then I was banded in 2008. I lost 65 with the Realize band but with the leak I have gained back 25 pds. Just was wanting to see if someone has been rebanded with success of the new band and losing weight again. Or did they change to the sleeve.

I have a leak in my Realize band and was thinking about getting the Lap-Band but now thinking about the sleeve. Just wanted to know who has been rebanded and who has the band removed due to a leak and now considering the sleeve.

hmmm. I have not thought of that but will have to really do some thinking now. I was not aware of the higher failure rate when it come to replacement of the band. Have you had the sleeve?

Hi there, I have not been on this site in a very long time but I truely do miss chatting with y'all. I am 3 years banded and will have to be rebanded soon due to a leak. :( My question is, has anyone been banded with the Realize Band and had a leak, then switched to the Lap-Band? I am thinking of switching to the Lap-Band and not going back to the Realize Band but need more info on making that change. Thanks for all of your help.

My Secret Santa is a an ammmmazing person. You kindness is beyond words. I was grinning ear to ear when I opened up my gift box tonight. I received a amazing Bisqu Bisqu dark denim jeans and a Black Worthington top from my favorite store JC Penney's. The Worthington line is the best line of clothes!! The whole outfit is rocking hot!! I am the luckiest lady to have you as my Secret Santa. I will take a picture of me in the outfit on Christmas day. Leaving (or going to try to leave, they are having a blizzard right now ha ha) for Kansas for the holidays. Thanks again. Merry Christmas. :)

I too had lost over 50% of my hair and which it was very concerning. The doc said it was due to losing weight so fast and not getting enough food in your body. Keep taking your vitimans and biotin, they work wonders. All my hair has came back and it is fuller then it ever has been. :)

Same with me. I too wear contacts. And have worn them with no problems but with the headaches and red eyes.......did you have red bloodshot eyes......I now can't see with the contact in. Take for writing on this subject.

Geeze, And to think I was the only person with this problem. I have been having horrible headaches from he** and then poof vision problems. My vision had not changed in over 8 yrs, but after the headaches I notice a huge difference in my vision. Guess I need to make a appt with the eyeball doc.
