I am four weeks today. I weighed myself today and I have gain about 3 pounds in the past week. I am very upset about it. I am eating the 3 meals a day and the portions my NUT told me to. So I am very frustrated. Please remember to eat only what is on your diet plan and stick to it even if you are hungry. I am lucky in that I am not hungry often and eating what the NUT told me to is satisfying. However, I am still gaining and depressed about that.

Great job! I am hoping to hit 30 pounds soon. 8 more to go but I haven't weighed myself in a  week because I am on vacation.

I was told walking, walking, and more walking. I am not allowed to do weights for 4-6 weeks. Congrats on the 20 pounds.

It is nice to have someone going through it with you. A friend of mine and I did everything together and shared a room the day of surgery. Welcome:)

It will slow down but we are all different. Soem people have really great weight loss for several weeks after and others have great weight loss for a week or two. I lost 13 pounds in my fors12 post-op but this past week not a pound. Everyone assured me that this is normal. I just hope that as time goes on I average 2 pounds a week. That will give me my 100 pounds for the year.

Glad you are doing well! I think grieving food is a normal thing.

Did you get a writen pre-op diet? If you did I would reread it then call the office with any conflicting directions.

As many of you know I had a lot of left shoulder pain. That was really the only pain I had. Now 16 days post-op my port area is hurting. Is it normal to get port pain now?

I was worried that it wouldn't  go away. You do need to make sure youe talk to the doc if it doesn't.
