The flouro, I think, is probably a great way to verify that everything is where it should be and the pouch is "healthy", etc, but as far as how accurate it is for keeping a patient filled at the perfect level is a bit unreliable.
As Ive stated before, and I'm sure you and everyone else know, the stomach moves around. From hour to hour and day to day, those slight movements cause the band to feel tighter or loser depending on where the stomach has settled. I'm not suggesting these are HUGE movements, in fact, they're probably very slight, but those little variances can f**k up the way the band works at times--too tight--or too loose!
Or at least, that's my experience. But I keep losing weight, so I guess that's the way its supposed to work. But of course, the whole point of my original post was to make sure everyone who gets a band continues with their aftercare, even if they don't think they need an adjustment anymore. The individual's health is numero uno.
