Hello Barb...congratulations on your upcoming surgery date. You like office nursing huh? I thought about being an office nurse. I have worked in the ER, post-op, recovery room and the last 20 years as a psych LPN. I am presently on disability until after this surgery. While I'm off I'm taking advantage of the RUE program but now that I'm obligated I am not sure it's what I want. I will be eligible for medicare in December and hope to have surgery soon after that. I will keep you in my prayers. Deborah

YOU WILL DO GREAT!!!! LAP IS MUCH EASIER THAN YOU WILL BELIEVE. I HAD A PREVIOUS ABDOMINAL HERNIEA REPAIR AND IT WAS AWFUL SO I WAS REALLY WORRIED ABOUT THIS SURGERY BUT IT WAS NOT EVEN CLOSE...TO MY MUCH JOY. JUST DO EVERYTHING THEY TELL YOU AND YOU MAKE SURE YOU USE THE MORPHINE PUMP IF YOU NEED IT..THEY HAD TO TELL ME TO USE IT BECAUSE I WASN'T BECAUSE MY STOMACH DIDN'T REALLY HURT, I HAD A HEADACHE FROM BEING THE WEIRD POSITION ON THE TABLE SO LONG AND THEY HAD TO REMIND ME I COULD USE IT FOR ANY TYPE OF PAIN I WAS HAVING., YOU'LL LAUGH AT YOURSELF FOR BEING SO WORRIED ABOUT IT WHEN IT IS ALL DONE. TALK TO YA WHEN YOU ARE ON THE LOSING SIDE, LET ME KNOW HOW YOU ARE DOING WHEN YOU GET HOME. GOOD LUCK!!! BARB
