It's been 6 months since my lap band surgery and I'm happy to report that things are going well.  My vasculitis is a bit more severe than lupus, but our meds are usually the same.  I am losing while on prednisone and methotrexate.  WOOOOHOOO!!!

I gained over 150 pounds when put on high doses of prednisone and unable to get out of bed for months due to pain and other complications.  My type II diabetes is doing much better, I still have joint pain, but not as bad as before and I have more energy.  I still have very bad weggie days, but the weight loss has been good.

I could not have malabsorption wls due to my meds, so lap band was my only choice.  So far so good.
