Holy weight loss batman. Where in the world did 7 pounds go last week? I have spent the entire week gearing up for my daughter's birthday party today and my Blue Jays team party (combined) so I think that all of the yard work has kicked my weight loss back into gear. Let's see, I stained my 20' x 16' deck, painted my shed, cleaned up the yard, adjusted and cleaned the pool, and on and on and on. Now I see where the weight went. Awesome to be able to do all of these things with very little effort now. Don't get me wrong, I was pooped at the end of each day but just to be able to accomplish these things in a reasonable time frame is incredible. I stained that same 16' x 20' deck four or five years ago and it literally took me 4 painstakingly long days to fini**** I literally did the whole thing, including powerwashing, in about 8 hours total. And it was a much better quality job this time!!

Anyway, off to do some last minute party prep and go pick up tables, chairs and a big jumpy house before I can relax for guest arrival at 1pm. We are expecting over 100 guests. We don't do anything small!! Well, maybe except me now!!

Have a Great Week,
Mike

Mike, you are a funny man!  Doing things small now huh?    Have a great party today, you have alot to celebrate!

I hope everyone is out doing fun summertime things this weekend... I am headed to Maine today to watch my sister-in-law jump out of a perfectly good airplane. She (we) are celebrating her graduation from Umass with her Masters in Nursing. She is in her 50s and never stops... I wish I were so driven!

Loss of a pound this week, I'll take it considering I have not really focused on either my eating or exercise... seems like every day is packed with stuff that has to get done and my concentration is out the window... Next week will be better!

Have a great day you bunch of losers, see you next week!

Hug your kids, let them know they are loved and keep them safe the best you can...

Okay, not to steal anything away from any body's WLS success this week but last night while at Outback for supper I dropped down and asked the GF to marry me.  Of course she said "yes".  No wedding planned for six months to a year but the asking is done.

Never, and I mean NEVER, trust a fart!!

Congrats! It's gonna be a hell of a bachelor party!

Congradulation on your successful supper at the Outback.  I suppose we will all be innvited to the wedding, right?  LOL

Weight wise I am moving in the right direction.  I was 280 yesterday which is 61 lbs. from my all time high.  My trouble is the walking and bike riding (stationary).  Although I've lost a lot of weight I have not really noticed the difference in my lungs.  When I do any exertion my oxygen level drops into the mid to lower 80's without oxygen.  Exercising while on the oxygen is getting harder and harder.  I try to increase my speed and distance when I am walking on the treadmill and it just seems to really bother my lungs.  I can only go for between 7-10 minutes as it is.  I've got COPD and it isn't going to really get any better.  That's what I get for 47 yrs of smoking.  Enough from me.

Hey Mike have a great party today and wish the little one a HB from all of us.  Hope everyone has a great summer weekend.

Jim

I guess I made it through my first stall with only a .2lb loss the week previous to this.  I'm now back in Costa Rica and back to work.  We have big news as we are importing new equipment in the next month.  I'm very excited as the new equipment will allow us to bring more water to the people most in need.  Water is such a simple thing that we can take for granted so easily in the states.

and on another note:

CONGRATS DON!  Thats awesome I wish you luck as you start another journey with your fiance.

Thank you, Blake!

An interesting weekend so far with WLS highlights for me. First, I spent Friday evening outside at a restaurant in the Houston heat and humidity. Two hundred pounds ago, I would have been *****ing about the unair conditioned walk from the cart to the front door of the place. Sitting outside comfortably was a FART for me.

The next day, I helped a friend move a house full of furniture. Again, not something I would have even attempted before. Not that moving is any fun at all, but it was a surprise to be able to help and keep up with the younger ones.

I seem to be having some acid issues over the last few weeks...at
least I think that's what it is. Taking something over the counter hoping it will stop, but so far no luck with that. It's odd in that it occurs each morning only, and generally stops by around 10 or so. Of course that may be about when the pill I'm taking about 8 begins to kick in. Maybe I should vary the time of the pill to see if the relief is actually related to the pill. They are supposed to last 24 hours but that time released stuff sometimes doesn't play well with RNY. I'm also concerned that I am on my second two week flight of pills when the box says not to do a second two week treatment for several months. I held off one day before it got bad enough to begin round two.

Have a good week guys.

Down 2 lbs.  Pretty stoked about it.  I have definately slowed the weight loss, pretty significantly.  However, I am very happy with where I am.  If I didn't lose another lb, I would be happy, although I would love to get to 200lbs.

Pretty tired today, as I didn't get home from my best friends b-day party until 0445 this morning.  I think today is going to be a relaxing day of not doing much...

Have a great week guys!  I am off to check the weather reports to see if a hurricane or tropical storm might be in my future...

Hope you and Ken dodge the bullet on any type of storm.  Jan was in "lock down" at the hospital she was working at when Ike "visited" the Gulf Coast.  Had to contend with many a storm growing up in New Orleans.  Ever heard of a storm named Camile?

Hi guys,

Boy, you all lead more interesting lives then me. Congrats to the soon to be newlyweds. And nice FARTS all around.

Down 2 lbs this week. Not bad considering I feel like I was eating constantly yesterday while traveling.

No big FARTS this week ( other than the gassy type )

Everyone try to have a nice week and see you next week or sooner.

Hi Mike-Great Post brother!! 7 pounds in a week now that is truly impressive my friend.

Hope the party was fun today, beautiful day for it!

Yours in WLS,
Bill
Thanks Bill.  Yes, my daughter, her friends and her entire Blue Jays team had a blast.  It was funny when they took over the DJ station and were all doing line dances.   Great day and we ended up with five additional girls spending the night.  I think they are all back in the pool already (7:30am)!!  Good Stuff!
