Hey Cole.  GIve it time.  It will happen.  I just had my one year anniversary and just passed the 121  mark.  I thought that day would never come.  GIve it time and enjoy the ride.
Topic: RE: how long off
I agree with everyone here.  Everyone is different.  My wife took the full 3 weeks off she was granted and enjoyed every minute of it (she has a desk job.)  I too have a desk job.  Monday was surgery, got home on Thursday and went back to work on Monday for 1-2 hours (about all I could handle) for that week.  My mom drove me to work and waited and pushed for me to get done.  I have the ability to take work home so I would work 1-2 hours in the afternoon at home.  Week 2 I was working 3-4 hours and taking the afternoon off completely.  Week 3 was 5-6 hours at work and then home.  Week 4 was back to full time.  I had short term disability as well as paid time off so pay was not a worry.  I sometimes wish I would not have pushed myself to go back so soon but after 115 pounds gone almost a year later who cares.  It was a success and that is all that matters for me at this point.  Good luck and you need to decide what you are going to do.
Topic: RE: Toilet talk..... Literally
I agree with most on the toilet seat issue.  Mine butt hurt at the start but not after 1 year.  My work chair and car seat are still uncomfortable at times but I just have to adjust my positon.  I did not believe the stories about the family jewels but they are true.  You gain inches and lenght.  It is great now feeling like i have something in my shorts.  Good luck on the amazing ride about ready to happen.   1 year and 115 pounds gone.  Only 15 more to go!
Topic: RE: Flying tomorrow
Hey.  Good luck on the plane.  I flew in August after having surgery in March and was amazed.  I had lost about 90 pounds and was so looking forward to the first time I flew and did not feel uncomfortable.  It was so nice not having to put the armrest up so I could fit between.  I actually was not intruding on the lady's space next to me.  What a WOW moment!  I am now over 105 pounds lost and look forward to shopping for new clothes (pant size 36 regular from a 44 relaxed, shirt from a 3X to XL and about ready to try Large.)  DOUBLE WOW!  It just keeps getting more and more fun.  Good luck on the flight and you will be amazed how much better it feels.
Topic: RE: Backed Out In Pre-op
I know what you mean about being scared.  I was actually in the room getting the iv in and thought to myself "what in the crap are you doing?  you are an idiot if you think this will work!"  Thank God I had my wife by my side (who did this 2 1/2 years ago.  We started talking and then walked in my surgeon.  We visited for a while and he told me I could walk if I wanted to but when I decided to do this again, I would have to go through the whole process all over again.  Man, I did not want to do the 2 week liquid diet again!.  I told him strap me in and I would hold on to the ride.  I am now 2 months out and have lost 55 pounds.  What a difference.  I had regrets in the first 3 weeks but not in a long time.  When you are ready try again but it is well worth it in the end.  I have gone from a 3X to an XL and from a 46 to a 40 pant.   YAHOO!
