Girl!!!
What a journey I've been on! I went on on july 20th for thr surgery, but didn't leave the hospital til August 8th!! I had complications big time. I stayed there for 2 1/2 weeks unable to eat or even keep down ice chips 
. Some how my small intestine got twisted and I eventually had to do a second surgery ( 5 days later- after they shoved a tube up my nose and down my throat first- and I was awake!! OUCH!!! 
). I lost 30lbs just from being in the hospital and an additional 30 since I have been out. I will be 5 weeks out on Saturday and I'm still having a little trouble keeping stuff down. So, Im kinda going through a little bit of "buyers remorse." Any suggestions?

glad to have you here! I only wish I had been to all the concerts you have! Good luck on your surgery and heal fast! I'm now 5 weeks post op and I have lost 60lbs!

girl your concert plans are so cool! Im a little upset that I will miss the Poison/Kiss concert this summer due to surgery. But, I need to do it during the summer so I can be ready to teach in September. As for cheesy 80's music, right now Im listening to Air Supply! LOL! I will definatly go to Ozzfest next year. You make it sound so much fun!

your surgery date is a few days after school starts up again for me (I teach middle school). Metallica is definatly cool. When I was a teenager, I played in a coverband and I loved it. We also did a few Slayer songs, but they were much more difficult to play.. it just about killed me playing one song! The one I like best is an old one, Skeletons. I've never been to Ozzfest! I'm a little insecure about going.. but maybe next year I'll just do it!

Oh - Tracy, I met Savatage about a year ago, they played at hammerjacks club which is close to me. They told me I wasn't their only black fan.. go figure! LOL! My Boyfriends loves them more than me!

Colorada is sucha beautiful state! I was there years ago (in colorada spriggs.. or something like that) for a teacher convention. I didn't want to come home! Thanks for the info on Grudge.. and I didn't know about Phil's new band!! Cool!

all right ya'll, I would love to see an active metal forum. Never fear, I am here! LOL! greetings, my name is Kellie- a 29 year old black american femal that loves metal! METAL RULES! I like the old school stuff- the hair bands ( i love poison!) I'm also into the heavier stuff: Metalica, Slayer, Sanctuary, ...and different stuff like: dream theater, suicidal tendencies, savatage. So.. anyone going to the Poison/Kiss concert? I was going, but my surgery is 3 days before the concert here in northern Virginia! That cancelled my plans. Bret Michaels will miss me! Anyone catching MTV's or VH1's (one of them) 101 moments in metal?? I'm TIVOing it,lol! What are you fav groups?
