Hi!  I recently was denied coverage from my insurance company.  After being told by two customer service reps that my insurance policy did not specifically say it does not cover WLS I was denied because my policy excludes WLS.  After being frustrated, disheartened I put my big girl, no pun intended, panties and decided I would relinquish my fears about going to Mexico to have the surgery and have decided to go with Dr. Aceves.  

Ive talked to one OH member who had nothing but great things to say about him.  I read on one blog about a guy that almost died from leaking 4 months after surgery and was curious if anyone else could share any info with me.  

Has anyone used Dr. Aceves in the past year and if so how are your results?

I am here now in Mexicali waiting for surgery in the A .M everything is so far so good I will def. post my experience as soon as im feeling up to it but I feel that im in the best hands and everyone is great soo far !!!!!!

I had surgery with Dr. Aceves in February! I love that man....he changed my life! His whole set up is a well oiled machine! No glitches or complications! Go for it!!!

 Hi, I went to him in January. Come over to the VSG board. There are a ton of his happy patients who would love to share their stories with you. Never heard of one issue with him so far, and I have spoken to many who are years out with him. He is more experienced then any Canadian surgeon and most American surgeons, for lap wls surgeries. You won't go wrong with him. Congrats on taking the plunge!

 I had Dr. Aceves back in 2008 & it was an excellent experience - hope you go to the VSG forum and you will find many more of his patients. never met one who was unhappy with their choice.
