Gas Vs Pain

 Greetings,
I recently had my surgery (8/8/12) and have some pain going on in my stomach. However, I am unsure if it is actual pain from the surgery or if it is pain from the gas in my stomach. Can anyone offer any advice in order for me to guestimate which one it could be?
Gas is an issue with any surgery that is laproscopic.  There will be some residual gas from what they used to blow up your tummy, so to speak.  If it continues, however, do contact your doctor.

When you get the pain try taking a pepcid to release the gas if it goes away than its gas if not than its surgey pain.

Laparoscopic surgery does lead to gas. However Prilosec/ Nexium has been seen to give immense relief in a number of people. Do try it. If it still persists, I'd suggest you see the doctor.
