    Topic: RE: sturgis
Just a quick note here, when I first got my Aero, I did a paint job, they took the tank emblems off, and I liked the clean look so told 'em to leave 'em off. Now, probably 8 out of 10 riders can't say exactly what I ride, except for an engraving on one of the side tranny covers! I think that down deep, most riders could care less, as long as it's got 2 wheels. We had a long discussion about 'real' bikes and bikers, and most of the folks who are jazzed about a particular lifestyle never realized that Brando wasn't riding a Hog, in the movie 'The Wild Bunch'. So, wheels are wheels! Head on over to Sturgis! I hear it's a blast!

What are you going to do with all that open space, and miles of road? And the weather?...mein gott...entirely too much sun, and the moonlight rides?...I fear you will never be the same...(have you noticed just a tad bit of jealousy slipping in here?) Good luck on the move. I love being in this part of the country, though. I want mountains, I can can head west, but there are always beached somewhere, gotta have my atlantic beaches!
Topic: RE: How long after WLS before I can ride again???
My doc had me off my bike for a month. It wasn't the riding so much as the possibility of ripping open a seam, as it were, if the bike were to go over a bit and I were to try and stop it. Internal hemorraging (sp) and all that fun stuff. But at a month and a half, felt like I had never been off the thing. Have to say though, after losing 150 lbs, I definitely get better mileage!
Topic: RE: I want a new bike!! Credit shot!!!
Like some of the other posters have mentions, there are a number of financing options out there, and the riding season is upon us, except for dummies like me who ride year 'round! Depending on what make and model you are looking at. Good luck on finding a scoot!
Topic: RE: Is this a bike page for "big" people?
I have a 98 Honda Shadow Aero and have been riding on two wheels for most of my life. Now that I have lost 108 lbs, my mileage is getting a lot better! I ride pretty much year round and love it. You just need to get his and hers bikes, that way you can get on your scoot whenever you want to! Good luck on getting your surgery done!
