    A 80's music fan

Is anyone a big 80's music fan? Or just into the 80's period?
I am such an 80s fan, I don't even know where to start. To me, the 80s was the place to be. I was born in 73 and so I was so much into the music. Music always has been my life and I just wish that they had a channel on the radio that played nothing but 80s. I'd be in sheer heaven. But, unfortunately around here they don't. I was into the 80s everything, the clothes, the hair, the movies...even though I was really upset growing up overweight, I couldn't even wear the parachute pants because they weren't in my size...I still get upset over that because that part of our generation is over...but I see they are bringing back legwarmers...lol. 80's are the best - Just went to Duran Duran at Madison Square Gardens. They are awesome! Have a great Day - Barbara M.
Ok I maybe a little weird for saying this but...I loved the 80's so much that I wish there was such a thing as a time machine, so I can go back. Things were so much simpler then, you didn't have to pay bills, or pay a house note etc. All you had to do was go to school and enjoy being a teenager. I went to the New Edition concert at the State Fair last summer and saw MaDonna the year before that. It would be great if Boy George and Culture Club got back together for a concert or George Michael and Wham. How cool would that be!!!
Life was great back then. I wish I could go back. When I was a teenage I could have controlled my weight better. Barbara M
WHAT DO WE ALL WAYS SAY ABOUT "IF WE KNEW THEN WHAT WE KNOW NOW......." THINGS WOULD BE A LOT DIFFERENT.
Very true - sad - but true. Thanks. That made me smile on a "I'am down on myself day". Barbara M
I know some people here in Wis who do an internet radio station dedicated to the 80s...,www.80sairwaves.com. They play all 80s music and movie clips so its fun. the website alkso talkjs about 80s bands and concerts. Very fun - check it out and tune in! I personally have an extensive music collection from the 80s that is ever-expanding. LOVE IT!!! Favorite bands include Dire Straits, Katrina and the Waves (1 hit wonder) and Bananarama. Whoo hoo! Jen

I was big into 80's dance music--like Smiths, Tones on Tails, Bauhaus, Skinny Puppy, Fad Gadget, Sisters of Mercy etc. I went to the Duran Duran concert here in Detroit with my brothers and had a blast. So disappointed that there are no good 80's acts coming to DTE this summer. There is a dance club in Ferndale, MI called Boogie Fever that plays 70's-80's music. I was there for a bacherolette party and had SO much fun. Glad to know there are others out there like me! Smiles, Mel
I love all of the same music as you. I think that music would be considered "goth" by today's standards. hehe I was into all of the industrial and club music. I still listen to a lot of it, too! I saw Morrissey in concert last fall. It was sooo fun!
OMG!!!!!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!? Sorry.

I ADORE The Sisters Of Mercy... The Smiths... and ANYTHING Peter Murphy!
I AM BLOWN AWAY and Impressed with you. OK, we have to be pals now!

The 80's are over????? I didn't know!!!! I am and have always been the 80's girl!!!! I have over 2000 albums on vinyl. I was a punk/ new wave/ alternative girl. I was in high school in the 80's so it was my time! I love VH1 classics..... Had an 80's party for halloween last year, it was a blast!!!!! Who can to the party...???? Madonna, Dee Snyder, Tom Cruise(in underwear & white shirt) valley girls, Toni Basil, Blues Brothers, Hall & Oates, Paula Abdul, Crockett & Tubbs, Angus Young... It was a great time and I boke out my 80's stuff.....albums, Vans tennis shoes, jewelry, concert t-shirts etc. The best part about now is that you can see losts of 80's bands in concert for pretty cheap. I just saw Eurasure on Sunday here, they were great. I am seeing Whitesnake in a few weeks. I have seen The Cars, Modern English, Devo, Duran Duran, Missing Persons, Flock of seagulls all in the last year!!!!! Long live the 80's Tawny(yeah as in Tawny Kitain from the 80's)

I saw Erasure on the 31st and it was a blast! Everyone was singing at the top of their lungs. hehe It was so much fun!! You know, Vans are back now. I work at a high school and a lot of the kids were old school Vans and high top Converse, which they call "Chucks". hehe
