Now I realize we are all a bunch of busy Natives in this world, but come on we are only averaging 2 posts a week people. Where are all the talkative Native folks. Lets get some information sharing going here! Whats Happening on your Rez? Heard any new jokes? Any new loves? New Low fat Recipe's to share? Any anniversaries this week/day/month? Any WLS stories to share? Whats up all?????

Hi! I'm Kathy- definately Native but I live in Toronto, not on the Rez.. I work in the Aboriginal community here (legal end) and had my VBG surgery on Dec 1st, 2004. It never occured to me there would be a forum-board for Native people here! omg! How cool.

Hi, I'm not living on the rez, but I'm half Cherokee and have worked for the BIA in the high schools. I love to read your posts and encourage all of you. I love reading your receipes. I live in the CA redwoods in Santa Cruz by the beach. The Ohlones occupied the area and took really care of the redwoods. Some are still around and do dances at our festivals. I am now in South CA near Riverside where they have Sherman Indian High School. Any of you ever go there? It's a neat place to be. Blessings on all of you. I hope to have surgery in a month.

Scoop neighbor? I am from the Stockbridge-Munsee Reservation. I will be at my two year anniversary on May 22nd. Things have been going pretty good for me. I had one minor complication and that was that I had a abdomen hernia that had to get repaired in Octoberof 2004. That surgery and recovery was far worse then that of the bariatrics surgery. I have lost 100lbs but just gained 6back since april of last year. I just started working out again so hopefully I will lose that and more. My personal goal would be to loose about another 15-20lbs. Hope to hear from you soon and let me know how you are doing.

My mom always asks "who has time for computers?" Nobody! :0) My mother came from White Mountain - Apache in AZ. I am married and living in MD. My Children are wonderful. Daughter Sienna is 4yrs and Son Cedar is 2yrs. My surgery date is 14 Sep. Can you offer me direction and advise? My husband is very supportive (but worried) and my will is strong. I am having this surgery for me! But my mother would be upset that I am altering my body. So this is my secret til she asks. I won't lie to her - just wont offer information til its done. But I am good with all this. I am 5'5" 260. I worry about loose skin. can you share with me your experience? thank you Selina
