I'm on Loseit too - all my other buddies have dropped off (booo) - my profile is private so I can only add people....if you want to share your user names I'll be happy to have some new friends that are motivated!
Topic: RE: Onederland and beyond?
Congrats on reaching onderland!  It's a wonderful feeling and you should be proud.  I started out 2 lbs heavier than you and I was denied surgery due to my PCP stating I could do it myself - long story short I figured what the hell - I was pissed and wanted to prove to myself that I COULD and I started August 30th 2010 and I AM doing it on my own.  I just had my TT 2 weeks ago and I'm doing great - all the hard work is paying off!

My goal weight is a little higher than yours and I will still be considered moderately overweight but due to my height I know I look creepy when I get down past 150 LOL.

I understand the gym thing - how about walks, or getting a gaming system like the Kinect or Wii?  I have the Kinect and boy it does give you a work out!

Keeping track of your food is also helpful and that's what I've done since I started last year - Loseit.com is great but there are several very similar sites that do the same thing and most are free.  You may be surprised just trying it out for a week.

Good luck in your journey and keep us updated

Hi Everyone,

Had my tummy tuck on Tuesday and I'm pretty much taking it easy this week.  Not too much else to report except it's harder than I thought to sit and relax lol. Hubby has been wonderful about taking care of me, kids, and house...even if he doesn't do stuff my way ha ha.  That's about it - have a great rest of the week everyone!

TT this month - UGH!!!!

Short term goal was to hit 95lbs lost before surgery - at 94 right now so hoping I will meet and EXCEED my goal :)

I'm taking off 4 weeks from work for recovery and I'm looking forward to being home with my kiddos (pain or not I always want to spend more time with them - pesky work interfers).

I have a brand new gazebo in my backyard so I'm looking forward to kicking back and enjoying being outdoors, watch the fish in the pond, smell the roses you name it LOL.

I'm also planting a huge garden this year - I can hardly wait until the fresh veggies are ready.

I think my summer will be pretty full

Was wondering where you were - prayers to you and your mom....

Goal was to lose 95 lbs before my TT on the 21st of this month - to date I'm at 94 so I'm pretty sure I'm going to make it - or exceed it
Topic: RE: Need to get my mojo back?
I use Lose It too.  I don't have a specific plan besides staying within or a little under my daily calorie amount.  I've become hooked on omelet's in a cup for dinner because I'm really not hungry in the evening.  I have a light breakfast and small healthy snacks thru the day... lunch is the most caloric meal usually.  I remember reading somewhere recently eat like a king at breakfast, a prince at lunch, and a pauper at dinner...so I've recently switched my day around to reflect this somewhat.  I only set my plan at 1 1/2 lbs in April - until then I'd been doing 1 per week.  I had a stall for about 2 weeks in April which didn't help grrr!  I rarely go out to lunch or dinner but if I do I try to make my choices beforehand by looking at online nutrition or my Calorie King book.  I'm glad I can still eat what I want just in moderation.  Its weird too because what I used to eat doesn't even appeal to me anymore.  I have developed a sweet tooth since losing weight...HATED chocolate until I lost the first 50 and it was like hmmmm.  Usually I have a small piece of candy every day and that hits the spot - always dark chocolate.  I also don't eat after 8:00 unless there's a dire reason I didn't eat dinner  at a "normal" time
Topic: RE: Need to get my mojo back?
Do you track what you eat every day?  That's what's kept me on track.  There are several free app's for smart phones or you can also access some sites direct on the net.  When I got denied for surgery I got PISSED and started the next day with logging my food and exercise...I'm almost at my goal so I know you can do it too!  It's hard when you have family stuff going on but honestly it's automatic once you start logging you won't ever think twice about it and it's a good way to stay on track.  Let me know if you're interested in the sites...I've tried several to compare but the initial one was the most user friendly.  Don't let the dr or your sis get to you - you've come so far on your own you can do it!!!

Topic: RE: It's the weekend!
Just the TT - my problem area is under my belly bottom (about 8-10 lbs of skin per dr).  I wouldn't mind my arms being done but it's more a mental thing than a problem thing.  Also I don't think I'll ever be brave enough to so anything like this again LOL.  My appt. is 6/21 and time seems to be FLYING - ugh!!!!
Topic: RE: It's the weekend!
Happy Weekend!  It's pouring, gusty, and seems like fall here in MI...typical since a few days ago we were in the 80's

This month is flying by - TT day feels like it's looming around the corner and I'm getting very very nervous.

Not much else going on - went car shopping and hopeful what I found will work out but we'll see.

On a weight loss note I'm down another pound so pretty darn exciting esp. since we splurged on some Chinese Friday night.

Your weekend sounds awesome so far!  Love being outdoors - if the weather would cooperate again I'd be all set LOL.
Topic: RE: 5/11 Check in's!
Hi Kelly - Anne,

We're kinda neighbors LOL I'm in MI.  Today is beautiful and it appears we've bypassed spring and gone right to summer with temp's in the 80's today!
Topic: RE: 5/11 Check in's!
The weather is so unpleasant up here I've not done my walk in 2 days - can't even make myself go use the elliptical either....just pooped this week.  Works been mighty unpleasant so that's contributing to my "ugh" week too.  Tomorrow's a new day so it's got to get better and hopefully the rain will stop and I can get out again.  Congrats on the first goal - that's so wonderful!
Topic: RE: Can I please...
Hooray!!!!  Great job!
Topic: RE: Can I please...
You CAN do it and you WILL do it   - I was bad on my birthday last month so it took me a few days to get back on track.  Do you log your meals?  I've found that to be very helpful.  I also set a "goal" time now of when I have to be done eating for the day.  I can still drink water but that's it.  Sometimes it's hard to do between work and family but I've found it stops the late night munchies and I feel better in the morning.

Topic: RE: MAY Roll Call
Happy Spring!!!  It's finally warming up in my area so I've been outside a ton.  Happy news I just have to share with someone - made it to Onderland Saturday before Easter.  I'm so excited because I met my goal for April.  For May I'm just going to keep working towards my goal.  Early June goal - I scheduled a TT - super nervous already but dr. says I'll be ready....

Topic: RE: March 31st Last Day of March!
I use Loseit also!  I started with pen and paper and then found the app - sooo happy with it!  I also use the Calorie King book - I joke that it's my "bible" and I bought the smaller version so it's always in my purse.
Topic: RE: March 31st Last Day of March!
So tbl do you manually track your calories and exercise or do you use a website or phone app?  I do this also and it's really helped me stay in line with my goals.  I guess another goal would be getting outside (if it EVER warms up) and working in my yard.  I'm ready for spring!
Topic: RE: March 31st Last Day of March!
April Goal is to get to Onederland - I swear the scale is stuck at 205 grrrrr!

Topic: RE: This board needs to kick it into gear....
It's great to see a new post on this board - I check it every day and usually zippo.  I was denied WLS by my PCP last August because she said I "could lose weight myself without resorting to surgery".  I thought about appealing, finding a new dr. you name it but mostly I got mad - at myself and what I'd allowed to happen with bad eating habits and no exercise.  I started using LoseIt and it's been working for me great.  I didn't have any other medical problems besides my weight so maybe I've been extremely lucky in the amount I've lost but I would love to have support and support others who are going thru weight loss issues.

Topic: RE: Need help getting past the nightly sweets craving?
I use the same app and although I don't really crave chocolate occasionally I indulge.  I've found the Hershey's dark chocolate kisses kinda hit the spot for wanting sweets and you can have 9 for 180 calories.

How successful has LoseIt been for you?  I've been having pretty good luck so far.
