Hi, I'm new to this and had surgery on April 7th.  Full gastric bypass.  I'm feeling great but still struggling with hunger.  I had a setback and messed up my eating, but am back on track.  I am now starting my week of puree foods and can now have my protein as shakes.  I am struggling with how much sugar is in them.

I wanted to make this one but it scared me with the sugar, and calories.  Help..

You could replace the milk with unsweetened almond milk.

Remember too all sugars are not created equal...

"Added Sugar" is what we need to be most concerned with avoiding versus naturally occurring lactose, fructose.

You could honestly do a little better with the protein powder.  150 calories for the powder alone is on the high end.

Thank you.  I'm going to have to do some online ordering.  It was three best one here where I had to shop.  My town is small and I'm limited to what I can buy.  Thank you for the feedback.   : )

Unsweetened coconut milk has even less carbs than almond milk, and is also easy to make :)
