Which surgery did you have?

I had the VSG and never had any issues with liquids.  Still don't.  But I can't eat more than 6 ounce of food at 18 months post-op.

Same here. I had a sleeve. I'm 2 weeks post op and I can chug liquids no problem. But I tried a bit of thicker soup today and got full very quickly. So I had the same fear a few days ago as you have, but I think some people just have less swelling and have an easier time with liquids than others.

I am less than two weeks out and can drink up to 16oz of liquids in an hour

You got lucky.  Me too.  I could practically chug liquids from day 1.  Protein fills me up fast.  Good way to be.  Easy to stay hydrated, but still limited on food intake.

I am happy that I am not the only one with this question. I had RNY on November 9th...never a problem with liquids...which made me very nervous about my future with solid food.  I just transitioned over to soft/pureed foods and I have been tolerating well.  Hopefully it will keep going in the same direction.
