Need to clean up my diet - seeking book recommendations

Hi Everyone -- I'm back here having had a VSG 6.5 years ago. I've gained a lot of weight back and am looking into a revision, but ALSO looking into getting real about eating well and exercise. If you could only recommend one food plan book, what would it be and why? It's pretty overwhelming out there!

Thanks,

Lucy

I've recently picked up a cookbook that I'd like to use soon.

It's written by Bobby Deen (Paula Deen's son), titled "From Mama's Table to Mine".

He takes some of his mom's famous dishes and offers a lower calorie "healthy" version.   He breaks down the macros for each.

Some of the recipes are stuff I can enjoy while in weight loss mode....and some are things I'll simply make for my lean family.

Live, love and make the most out of what your surgeon has done for you...........live your life without excuses and without regrets.

I follow the Pound of Cure diet.  You can find it on Amazon for about $12.  It is simple, easy to follow, and has produced great results for me (and is written by my surgeon, so obviously the plan he perscribes).

It essentially focuses around eating "real food".  Veggies, animal and non-animal protein and fruit.  Avoiding refined carbs, processed foods and dairy.

If you are intersted in earning more his name is Dr. Matthew Weiner - he has a ton of videos posted on his website and Youtube channel.  Both surgery reated, but also nutrition related.  They are excellent videos an pretty much give you the same info that's in his book.

I'd recommend this book and his videos as well. The book can be read with kindle unlimited on amazon right now.
