“Tasted great the first few times I used them -- EVERYTHING tasted great right after surgery -- and I liked the aspect of eating these beloved characters. The vitamin-y aftertaste got to me, though, as did the gritty texture. I had to switch to another brand before I ran out of these. If I'd had to depend on Flintstones til the bottle was empty, I'd *still* be staring at a half-full bottle, through my vitamin-deficient haze...”

“My doctor recommended two a day and I have done that. My test have all turned out wonderful without a hitch so they must be doing their job. As far as taking them as an adult, I say that the blood test results speak for themselves. I have not taken anything but the Flinstones Complete. I know they do not taste quite as good as the regulars but for the results, they are not bad at all. ”

“As an adult, I feel that taking the Flintstones vitamins really don't provide the necessary vitamins/minerals that an adult actually needs. I imagine these taste good as a child, but I personally cannot stand the taste of them. I would definately recommend a chewable vitamin for adults (CVS has a chewable multi-vitamin for a smaller price tag, also). ”

“I take the Flintstone Completes 2x's a day. I can tolerate these very well. I read someone's previous reply about the sugar content but I do not see it listed under the "Supplement Fact" only as Sucrose (in the ingredients). If these indeed do have a high sugar content, then the Manufacturer needs to list this percentage as well.”

“I used these as a preop and in my early Post-Op months along with Centrum Chewables. Since 3 months post-op, I've been using Bariatric Advantage's chewable vitamins which not only taste better and have less sugar, but they are higher in the nutrients we need having had WLS. Also, the Bariatric Advantage vitamins have added Biotin and Zinc which are thought to help with the hair loss so common for many of us. There is a link to Bariatric Advantage in my profile if you are interested.”

“I loved Flintstones Vitamins as a kid, and I still enjoy them as a post-op adult! They have a very decent flavor, plus you can't beat the value. You get so many vitamins for a very good price (I believe I paid about $8.99 for a month's supply - my doc has me chewing two a day). When you compare the number of vitamins you get per bottle for the price with that of, say, Centrum or One A Day, you can't beat Flintstones. I highly recommend them! I'd suggest getting the Flintstones Complete, though, as it provides 100% of the recommended daily allowance of iron, as well.”
