“Befor my surgery the taste was wonderful. The chocolate truffle tastes like mocha and it's better when really cold. Their clear protein shakes are really fruity and you can barely tell they're protein shakes. I was really worried when I had to search for a clear shake but after trying the samples I felt better about my decision.
I posted this before my surgery. Since then I've discovered I cannot tolerate the clear nectars. Tastes will change after surgery on a daily basis. Keep this in mind when choosing your protein.”

“You can find samples at enjoyhealth.com for 1.89 each + shipping. On the samples it recommends mixing with 5 oz. water or to taste. Since purchasing more I have still been mixing it 1 scoop to 5 oz for 23 grams of protein isolate. The canister suggests using 8 oz but so far the taste hasn't been overwhelming and it's nice to get 23 grams in just 5 oz. This mixes easily in water and can be mixed ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator for later use, just shake it up again. I haven't liked the results when I tried that with other protein drinks. Favorites so far are chocolate truffle, fuzzy navel, roadside lemonaide, (my daughter says it tastes like Skittles candy), and strawberry kiwi. I don't care for coffee drinks but thought the cappaccino flavor tasted a lot like the caramel frappacinno drinks from Starbucks. ”

I find I lose more weight when I add the protein drinks to my diet of lean meats and veggies, even though I am 5 months post-op. It doesn't seem to have the terrible aftertaste that many other powders do, and the decaf coffee flavor really satisfies my coffee cravings. “During my pre surgery liquids only (my doctor required it for 7 days) and during my 2 weeks since surgery - I've been living on this product. It's wonderful.
I love the fruity taste and how easily it blends with water. I've had no problems with it since my surgery and it keep me alive since I'm still on liquids (moving to pureed foods tomorrow).
I drink a class of it first thing when I get up and right before bed and that's what keeps me from getting dizzy and feeling light headed.
As a "like to be" vegetarian, it has the bonus of being a whey product.”

“I wanted to post to give a HUGE THUMBS UP to Fuzzy Navel Nectar! I have had a lot of trouble with protein post-op and this is the ONLY one that works for me. Other Nectar flavors are OK (apple, cherry, strawberry) but taste fake. Carribean Cooler is OK, but I don't like the coconut pineapple flavor. Fuzzy Navel has no aspertame (sp?) and actually tastes almost like a natural juice and has little or no aftertaste. It also does not have that nasty whey taste to it at all! I really like this one. I want to try the new lemonade one too. With Fuzzy Navel I think that Syntrax did a great job. I'm so happy I found it! Try some samples of this one if you like citrusy fruit drinks. At least for me it has been a good one!”
