 “The vanilla tastes as okay as any of these things can and with 22grams of protien per scoop, you can't beat it. I would suggest upping the amount of fluid you mix it with, though. They say 4-6 ounces, which just isn't enough. I add a scoop to 20 oz. of water and half a pack of powdered milk (and any sugerfree flavoring, like cocoa)and use it as my three "snack meals".”

 “ Okay having tried many many protein bars, this one is by far the most palatable and great tasting one I have had. Compared to some I eat with 35 gm of protein, it comes in at 13gm , not so great BUT it is easier to eat, tastes much better and is great for when I feel I deserve a treat or need to eat something that doesn't taste and feel like putty in my pouch. I do still choke down the extremely high protein ones, but have never found one that actually tasted unobjectionablel like this one does. I have ordered two boxes online as my local store cannot keep this on the shelf. I think it is great and compares to other brands in price for the protein available. I have never dumped on this bar, even when I ate the whole thing, (something I cannot do with the putty bars)”

 “I am speaking of the protein bars. This might be good for someone significantly past your first six months after surgery. But for those new, why start on something that tastes like a candy or granola bar - and may cause you to feel ill or dump? It has sugar alcohols in it, which can still cause blood sugar rises and can slow weight loss. Some people, later on, may find some value in these bars though - it's personal.”

 “These bars aren't too bad, taste-wise, especially if cut into little pieces. (I cut one bar into 30 pieces, and eat them as a snack with a glass of milk.) I like them because they have 25 grams of protein, which is very important for post-op healing and complete nutrition. They don't have enough fat grams or sugar to trigger a "dumping syndrome" episode. When trying to get in 50-60 grams of protein daily, these are a real God-send!”
