“Although I haven't had my surgery yet, I've been actively searching for a whey protein I can drink without throwing it back at the cashier... This may be it! Although it has a chalky aftertaste... It's not too bad.”

“so it has a horrible after taste but has so much protein. If i need allot of protein in a quickies i grab one and tolerate. Usually, I water it down no harm in extra water. If i am not feeling watery i add some water and a little bit of crystal lightSO MUCH BETTER!”

“This product SAVED ME post-op since hte shakes were killing me. Love the range of flavors, the fact you can get so much protein in, most flavors are good. “I am not able to handle the powder mixes, I've tried them numerous times, so I will pay for these protein drinks. They provide the protein I need and I have been drinking up to 2 a day, depending on my food protein levels. I only like the alpine punch (which I now buy by the case!) and the icy orange. It may leave a bit of an aftertaste but once you become used to drinking them it is well worth it. I would not use anything else. Grape isn't bad, but only would use that if no alpine punch or orange was available. Can't beat the 40g protein it provides! ”

“it comes in various flavors, and the premix is best when its very cold like fresh out of the refrigerator... but the powder mixes are great when just mixed with just plain tap water... or you could use 2% milk to mix it in as well. The best part is you get 50 grams of protein per serving. instead of 20 grams in some of the other mixes out there.”

“Ive tried so many things in the three months that I've been post-op and most of them have been either really vile tasting, don't mix well, smell really bad, orall of the above. I tried the Isopure Zero Carb Creamy Vanilla and have fallen completely in love. It's a subtle vanilla flavor, mixes well with just a spoon, has almost no smell, and is just a wonderful product!!! “For me Personally i had one of the most difficult times getting my protein in and keeping it down. When i first tried Isopure i didnt think i was going to enjoy it. Quite to the contrary, I LOVE IT! Just on 20 oz, bottle contains 40g Protein, i enjoy it room temperature or cold. My favorite flavor is Blue Raspberry. Although the price is somewhat high, i think about all the money i spent on fast foods alone in one week. I average 2 to 3 bottles a day, and take it with me everywhere i go.”

“This product is nutrient dense and has 50gm protein/300 calories/25 gm of carb (only 2gm surgar) and excellent product for RNY patients or LapBand patients. It is a whey shake. “It is great for the protein intake that we all need, but unfortanetly the taste is okay on some of the different flavors. The one thing I hate about it is once you get through a third of the bottle you have this horrible film all over your mouth and your constantly trying to get it out of your mouth for a day or two. It would definetly be better without the film on your mouth.”

“This is the cheapest I have found the 7lb tub. This is also the ONLY protein drink I felt tasted good. To me, it tastes like chocolate Slim-Fast. Always liked that! I have tried other Isopure flavors, along with 15 samples from bariatriceating.com and didn't care for any of them. I drank it in 4oz increments. It's tasty and sweet and doesn't even taste "healthy". And it's WHEY based protein - wow!! I recommend this drink for ALL post-ops!! “This was the only clear fluid protein supp i could find in Canada. It comes in 3 flavours. Icy Orange - diluted orange flavour, Alpine Punch - terrible very bitter and Grape - didn't try. Gives me 40 gm of protein per 20 oz bottle. ”

“Isopure No Carb is a 20 oz Bottle Drink that comes in a number of Kool-aid like Flavors. Of the types that I have tried I have to say that this is a remarkable drink. 40 Grams of Protein in one Bottle and it isnt a Milk based drink. It is perfect for those of us who are just sick of Shake Products. Although the Price is a bit high at 3.50 a Bottle and around 35.00 Dollars a Case it is Worth it when it comes to your overall Health. I now see that Isopure is making a mix form of the Kool-aid drinks which should make it more economical. In my own opion this is the Protein Drink that cant be beat. Ed Mynning ”

“Love the Grape flavor! I've tried the Punch and Blue (?) flavor, but didn't care for them. Just loved the Grape. I find that I have a bit of a metallic after taste when just drinking it during the day. But this is a great drink to have during and after a good workout and I don't tend to have the after taste then. I've bought the Isopure from Vitamin Shoppe for $3.75 in Manassas and for $3.50 in Charlottesville at a GNC, but was very happy to find it even cheaper at GNC in Fredericksburg, not to mention being a member and getting an additional discount the 1st 7 days of the month purchase! If you're tired of the shakes, this is a refreshing, protein boost and great tasting drink! ”

“I bought a bottle of the apple melon and the alpine punch to try for after surgery. The 20 oz bottle only has 160 calories, 0 carbs and 40 grams of protein. They taste like sweetened gatorade. At first, I could not "down" the bottle and then I thought to myself, I will not be downing the bottle after surgery anyway. So I really enjoy it as long as I can have a little while to finish it.”

“I am talking about the Isopure Clear drink here: It tastes fine... like a diluted kool-aid BUT it smells like a fish pond. I found that if I poured it into a cup with a cover and sip with a straw it is MUCH more tolerable! Compared to the shake type drinks, this is way, way better.”

“This Isopure is in a clear bottle, it is not a powder. I comes premixed. They come in fuit flavors. I had a lot of trouble being able to stomach the protein drinks, but this is one that I can tolerate. So it is worth the money to me. You can get about 2 1/2 servings. Each serving is 16 grams of protein.”

“ I have tried both the dutch chocolate and the strawberry, both were good, mt preference being the strawberry. Since it has 50 gms of protein I split my drink into two servings (I had the powder form). Now at two weeks post op I have found a way to make it even better, I use ice cubes a tablespoon of plain lowfat yogurt along with water, makes for a little vaiety and more like a shake than protein water, well more like a smoothie. I love the stuff as it is my main source of anything to taste and eat these days.”
