“The chocolate flavor tastes very good. One drawback is that I'm supposed to have 1500 mg a day and each of these chews is only 250 apiece. So, I have to eat 6 per day to get what I need.”

“Confused as I have read bariatrics should only use calcium citrate stated AS calcium citrate on BACK label. If it is listed as calc. from calc. citrate, or calcium (calc. citrate), etc then we cannot absorb it all. Here is an article about that http://www.ehow.com/how_5621233_choose-supplement-after-gastric-bypass.html You have to take 3-4 large chalky tablets. Taste is ok, but dissolves on tongue almost immediately and you feel you need a drink to wash it down. It is a mouthful.”

“I could not handle the taste. It is so bad I thought I would throw up everytime. It's a large pill that fills up your stomach. Honestly, if your going with a chewable these are what's out there. I decided to go with the more taffy like one's even though still not great 10X better taste.”

“i got this with other items and for 3 month supply bolied down to about 30 a month. i choose cinnamon lozenges. there are really cinnamonie-hot when you try to chew them. alot like the oil. they are a bit chalky but taste good. they dissolve good too. so i pop these in 2-3 times a day while at work. no after taste and i did notice that i had a couple sore spots in the roof of my mouth but this was from sucking on them too hard. they do taste good. so i might alternate with the lemon chews to through in some variety.”

“there are 2 types the lozenge (takes 3 huge pills to get in 400mg and the chew which is 250mg per chew but does have some calories in them). my surgeon wants 4500mg calcium a day, cant do that with these 2 options, but for someone who needed less i would say use both!”

“The Wild Cherry Flavor is good, DO NOT chew them they are designed to dissolve in your mouth. I know they are big but the flavor last longer when I let them dissolve vs. chewing them. I also take them with my Multi-vitamin which gives me something to look forward to when I'm done and follow up with a sip or two of water. ”

“At first the taste is okay and then when you chew it up, it's like ugh - the taste is all on the outside and not really on the inside - or so it seems. It's not the worst, but I'm not sure if it's the best either...no source of comparison.”

“Okay, I've tried the chocolate and mint flavors of this product and just....EWWW. Putting fake flavorings in chalk does not make it taste like anything but fake flavored chalk. I've had this same complaint about every chewable calcium "lozenge" supplement I've tried. Now, if you just CANNOT swallow calcium horse pills, please, there are other options. These things are gross and they are overpriced. I'd have to take five of them a day to get my mandated 2000 mg, and no way am I going to pay that kind of money when I can get a store brand version of Citrical Petites and take TEN of those for pennies. Thumbs DOWN. ”

“Being unable to stomach calcium and I am still pre-op but in need of calcium, this one is very good. I got the cinnamon and it is really pretty good. “I tried these as samples from the vendor at the OH conference in Lexington, KY. They come in chocolate, mint and cinnamon flavors. They are a lozenge that eventually melt on your tongue. They are a bit gritty but, are a great source of calcium citrate and well absorbed by bariatric post-ops. The mint and cinnamon are the best flavors. I strongly discourage chewing these as they turn very foamy and the mint feels/tastes like a large amount of toothpaste.. ”
