“I have to stay on a clear liquid diet for a week after surgery and was looking for a source of protein. I saw this product at GNC and decided to try the grape flavor. It was actually pretty good! It tastes like watered down sugar-free koolaid. There is a slight after taste, but it's not bad at all. I went back and bought several other flavors and will drink them after my surgery. The only bad thing is the cost. At $5 a bottle, they're really expensive.”

““ISOPURE has been my saving grace. Zero - 3 carbs per drink (depending on flavor), low calories and 50 gm of protein per drink ( 2 scoops of powder). I mix it with non-fat milk. 100% Whey makes it so you don't taste the protein in the drink which is what makes it great for me because most of the other protein drinks out there taste horrible due to the taste of the protein in them. ISOPURE is awesome all around :) Have a chocolate protein drink in the morning blended with a banana in it and its great!” ”

“I had such a hard time finding a protein supplement I could stand, that I almost gave up on surgery! The vanilla is the best tasting protein powder I have tried yet, and you can make it whatever flavor with additions. It had no terrible vitamin/sour milk aftertaste like the others. I just hope I still like post-op.”

“I get this in the vanilla flavor and can make all types of protein shakes with it from the recipe in Susan Maria Leach's book. My favorite is the Elvis Presley one. I use 1/2 cup cold water, 2 scoops Isopure Zero Carb, 1 heaping tablespoon of WHIPPED peanut butter, 1/2 tsp vanilla, one 2-inch piece of frozen banana and 1 cup ice cubes. Pulse it in the blender--don't whip it up or it gets full of air. I scrape down the sides often until it's blended well. It's ready when there's only 1 small cube left not quite broken up and drowning in the mixture. It will melt while you drink it. It tastes wonderful and you get 50 grams of protein right there in the morning! Love it. It's expensive since you can go through it fast at 2 scoops a serving--at least if you take it faithfully every day as I do--but well worth it. There are 22 servings in the 3 lb. bottle, so that comes out to about $1.65 per glass--what did you used to pay for a large or extra large shake at McDonald's or Sonic? I haven't found anything as high in protein that tastes as good, with fairly low calories. Her recipes with 1/4 cup blueberries, or cocoa and 1/4 no sugar added frozen pitted cherries are delicious too. I'm just a peanut butter-head. ”

“After trying lots of yukky shakes, the Isopure Zero Carb drinks have helped a lot! OK, they aren't delicious tasting...BUT...I can handle a koolaid type drink over a chalky shake! I feel good about getting my 40g protein in...and 20 oz. of fluid in one swoop! It takes me a little time to drink it all, but the night before I go to work, I freeze about a 1/3 of the bottle. In the morning, I use the Isopure ICE in my drink...and it stays cold for a longggg time...long enough to drink it all. Expensive...but 40g of protein!”

“This protein su[[lement is great! It dissolves in water with no extra chalky taste. There is no sugar or carbs in this mix. Plus you get about 50 grams of protein per serving. Now please note that your body can only digest about 35 grams at a time, so you don't even have to use that much in one sitting. The vanilla is good if you like adding juices for mixing; and the strawberry is good for everyday use.”

“The protein level and ease of drinking this product is paramount! I found it to be somewhat sweet and found it more pleasant to drink when drinking it as 1/2 water and 1/2 Isopure Zero Carb. They come in several flavors and are smooth like Coolaid, not a chalky substance. I am extremely happy to have found this product as I know postoperatively this will be a product I can use to get my protein in when I'm on a clear liquid diet.”

“Isopure products taste very good, can be mixed with water and still taste good, and it dissolves very silky, so no grit in the cup. It's very watery, so it would be good post op. Also, you can get the variety pack, so you have multiple flavors, like Orange Creamsicle and Dutch Chocolate. Also, if you are post op, you could divide the contents of one packet to get 3 or 4 servings out of it, since it makes 12-14 ounces per packet. (20 packets to a box).”

“I do not like protein powders at all. But I mix 2 scoops with 6 oz of water and 2-3 tsp of sf/ff chocolate pudding mix and blend until smooth. It mixes well and is not gritty. Then pour over ice and shake with ice. I don't like to mix ice in the blender because I don't like that thick texture and it increases the volume a lot. I just like it real cold. It really is good this way. I bought is from GNC because you can return it if you don't like it. Next time I will order it online. It is cheaper.”

“At first, I was perplexed with how I can get my 65g Protein requirement daily when I only had a 2oz stomach but with Isopure, I can get what I need with a simple recipe. Instead of 12 ounces of water to mix with the 2 scoops of Isopure Creamy Vanilla, I use 6 ounces (or 3/4C skim milk), the 2 scoops of Isopure and 6 Tablespoons of Pasturized Egg Whites. This yields 3-2oz servings which gives 22g of Protein per serving. Drink 3x daily, that's 66g of Protein! Thank goodness for Isopure!”

“If you join GNC card club it is 10 percent off I think on the first 7 days of the month. I like it not in the packets and since it is 50g protein for 2 scoops, pending how I am eating that day I may only use one scoop instead of two. Mixes very well. I usually mix it with frozen fruit and or a banana or Swiss Miss diet cocoa at 20 calories and packed with flavor.”

“Best tasting protein powder by far... hands down. Not gritty, no gross aftertaste... and has 50 grams of protein in two scoops. Vanilla is most flexible because you can layer on flavorings, wheras when you buy chocolate you have chocolate for all 3 pounds of shake mix. You must doctor up the shakes... even though they are good alone they are actually DELICIOUS and ENJOYABLE with frozen berries or banana or extracts and lots of ice...only use 4-6 ounces of skim milk or water with two scoops to cut the volume. GNC is very high on their prices as it is almost $20 more for the 3 lb cannister. You should be able to find it online for $30 plus $5 shipping instead of $50 at GNC. Also... make sure you buy ZERO CARB Isopure instead of PERFECT Isopure... as the perfect variety has 20-30 carbs per drink. I know several people who have bought the wrong one for WLS. ”

“Vanilla flavor Very good taste. very bad smell. 1 scoop to 4 oz of decaf coffee, and a squirt of sugar free chocolate syrup makes it taste, and smell great!”
