“This has a HORRIBLE aftertaste, you can feel the protein covering your tongue. But taste aside, it does the job for someone needing a good source of protein, zero carbs and sugar right out of surgery.”

“It really does have a milky/yogurty aftertaste. Definitely better on ice. Am going to try to freeze like a popsicle, or add SF kool aid or crystal light. Excellent nutritional value, and I am NOT throwing 41$ in the trash. Just gotta suck it up and maybe alternate with another product.”

“If you need to have a protein supplement after surgery, go with the Isopure fruit juice drinks. A little pricey but they go down very easy, have 40 grams of protein per bottle, and don't taste half bad. “I like the Grape Frost best. But I drink them over shaved ice. It's pretty close to a DQ Mr. Misty. It's a good way to get your protein and your liquids in at the same time. I fill a 32 oz. glass with shaved ice (approx 20 oz. liquid) then half the bottle (10 oz.) as a morning "snack". Then repeat in the afternoon. This gives me 60 oz. of fluid and 40 grams of protein. Sweet!”

“I've tried three flavors of Isopure--blue raspberry, which was disgusting, icy grape and icy orange, both of which were quite tolerable, though not exactly tasty. They came in very handy for drinking during my clear liquid days for a bowel prep--lots of protein, no carbs, therefore no big blood sugar fluctuations! I hope I'll tolerate these postop, for they will be a good fluids source with protein added :-). ”

“I only really like the Icy Orange and the Alpine Punch. I cannot drink it by itself. I usually mix 5 oz. of each kind (10 oz. = 20 oz. protein) with about 6 oz. of Sugar Free CHERRY Koolaid. For whatever reason, the cherry flavor helps to mask that "proteiny" taste. Still can taste it, but not so bad.”

“I tried the pre-mixed Alpine Punch for 3.50 a bottle to see if I liked it enough to buy the large mix. I liked the pre-mixed a lot! Unfortunately, I spent $50 to find out the mix doesn't look or taste the same as the pre-mix. It looks like strawberry milk and tasted so bad I spit it out. Buy the pre-mix but not the dry mix!”

“Because I had to start my "NO FOOD", "PROTEIN" diet one week prior to surgery, I tried several varieties before this. And, this one wins HANDS DOWN!!!! The Grape Frost is VERY good. The Alpine Punch is good. I still have several others to try, but expect the same results. They remind me of kool-aid that doesn't have enough sugar in them. So, it's VERY tolerable. There is a wierd feeling, for lack of a better description, afterwards, but it is by far very easy to go down. ”

I tried the apple melon and it was great. It's not thick and it's kinda like Kool-aid. I can't do the chocolate/vanilla/nectars so this really stepped in and filled that need. “These are kind of pricey, but as a new post-op it was ALL I could tolerate. I found I liked some flavors better than other, specifially the punch, passion fruit and raspberry. Some, like the grape, I had to add some sf grape kool-aid to make it taste better. If you're trying to find a protein drink that's not thick, definately give these a try. “The grape flavor is excellent. Tastes just like grape kool-aid, if such a thing exists...can't remember ;) The Alpine punch flavor and Apple melon flavor are good too. did NOT like the Icy Orange because it had an odd aftertaste...as though you could really taste the whey in it, and I DON'T like that taste...The Blue Raspberry is also decent. “This drink has 40 grams of Ion Exchange Whey protein; 0 carbs and no sugar. I like the fruit punch and grape flavors and drink 1 each morning after working out at the gym. The first time you drink one there is an aftertaste, but after that you get used to it and it is not bad. For 40 grams of protein - it's worth it. ”

“While this a bit pricey for everyday use, talk about a wonderful flavor alternative to the thicker protein shakes! I've had the Grape and Apple flavors, and they taste so good! 40 gr. of prot. in each bottle! The burst of energy I get when out riding my bicycle is awesome, and I never feel dragged out afterwards, or 'heavy' after taking in a thicker 'shake' type drink.”

“After many gagging tries with powders I tried Punch, Blue Raspberry and Apple Melon. I will never be without an Apple Melon in my fridge again! I can't believe I finally found something that tastes good, mmmmm Jolly Rancher, sour apple blow pop here I come! I figure I would eat more than $3.25 in any given pre-op day so the price is well worth finding something that goes down and doesn't smell like liquid chalk mixed with vomit! (at least all my powders so far have smelled OR tasted like that!) It's heaven and I can justify the price, worth having the protein instead of making my body suffer without!”

“This is great because 1. it actually tastes good (Alpine Punch and Grape Frost, not a fan of Green Apple), and 2. it's easy to take on the go (but wish it came in a plastic bottle instead of glass) or in the office. It's a little pricy, but I feel like it's good for me (40 g. protein, no sugar, no carbs), and this, along with the half a Real Meals I choke down in the morning, has me covered protein-wise in addition to whatever I eat that day.”

“Good stuff. I couldn't stand the powdered protein drinks and I am so glad I found this one. The taste is fairly weak -- which is good in my opinion. Very convenient too. ”

“Where was this stuff when iwas first post op. All we had was chocolate and more chocolate. This stuff comes in fruit punch and orange. It has a wierd dry after taste, but add some diet 7-up and it's fab. Lots of protein. A little pricy, but if you're newly post op you can eat an entire days worth of pretain for about 6 bucks. That's one trip through McD's”

“This has been the most beneficial item in my journey of weight loss. I can really tell the weight comes off when I use this on a daily basis. It tastes better than any other product I've been able to find also. I cannot stand milk so all those other products were out of the question for me. I'm really impressed with it's results.”

“It comes in several flavors. My favorites are Alpine Punch and Blue Raspberry. It has a light fruity flavor and offers 40 gr. protein in a 20 oz. bottle.”

“I have been drinking a bottle a day of Isopure since approx 2 months into my post-op. My hair was falling out in clumps and I made a concience decision to make sure it stopped. Ilike the grape, fruit punch, orange and blue rasberry. I don't like the powder protein mixes. With these I can grab one and go. ”

“Very thin, easy to digest. I can sip these like water or any other juice-type drink and it doesn't make me feel bloated like other shake-type protein drinks do.”

“Tastes Good kind of like Gatorade the orange is the best. Melon worst. It is expensive per bottle but it is the only drink I do not have a problem with as far as gagging on it.”
