“My name is Angela and I am the formulator of "B-Blast" and owner of B-Wise, Inc. I wanted to clear up any confusion about what our product is. B-Blast is a complete B-Complex vitamin with chelated iron and antioxidants. This formula was created over a 2 year period specifically for patients who have B vitamin deficiencies due to malabsorption or other medical conditions. Our vitamin formula is "delivered" in 20 grams of protein, for an added benefit and of course, the formula is sugar free. We decided not to add aspartame to our product since this chemical is known to cause cancer. Our product will not compare to other "protein shake" mixes because it is a potent vitamin. We do recommend adding one scoop to an existing shake mix or using one of our recipe ideas. Taking B-Blast daily allows the patient to receive all the B vitamins, chelated iron and additional vitamin C & E. Our formula contains methylcobalamin, which is the active form of vitamin B12. This form can be swallowed and absorbed in the GI tract, which is a new and upcoming concept in the GBP community. Again, the message I would like to relay is that our product is a vitamin, not a protein replacement system. As a nurse, I always seek the very best for my patients and I feel the same as a company owner. Happy New Year to all of you!!! Angela Upleger, RN, BNC B-Wise, Inc.”

“I got down about 4oz of the drink. It was ok. It tasted like I was drinking a vitamin. ”

“I am a firm believer in 'taking your medicine' whether you like it or not; but, I have to honestly say that this is one of the worst protein drinks that I have tried in my almost two-year post-op life. It was chalky and gritty within five minutes of mixing and the aftertaste was very unpleasant...I could not get past the second sip. ”

“As I received a sample, I can't make a statement on price. I like protein shakes, so I am always looking for new options. Unfortunately, B-Wise was not one. The flavor tasted like it was burned, while the smell was almost medicinal. ”

“I will stick with my Dutch Chocolate Isopure protein powder. Better taste, more protein, B-Wise B-Blast Protein Powder was very thick and even though it was the chocolate raspberry, I couldn't even drink it. Yuck!”

“I got a free sample of the Vanilla Caramel. It SMELLED good, and when I mixed it up and took a sip it was OK. I went back to my cup a few minutes later and it was all thick and gritty, not good at all. This produce isn't good for post-ops because we have to drink over a small period of time and apparently the drink gets gritty if it sits too long. Didn't care for it.”

“I sampled the chocolate raspberry.. I thought it was little sweet like a dessert.. I like to drink protein for breakfast.. It wasn't a breakfast drink. It was a little chalky but otherwise good.. not something I could drink everyday.. It almost tasted like candy.. ”

“If you can stand the taste the product has great nutritional counts. I was really hoping the taste would be great. I tried the Chocolate Raspberry and it sounded good but I was disapointed. I had to pour out the shake I made. It made me really glad I have a regular protein shake with vitamins that I love the taste of. I couldn't find a container size on the web site but it looks like a small container...maybe a pound..for $29.95. Too much $ for me. I can buy almost 5 pounds of my IDS protein for that price. Good idea but company needs to rework the palatability of the product.”
