“Very user friendly for gastric bypass patients with limited stomach capacity and poor protein tolerance in large volumes.”

Suitability for Postops Excellent     Cost I have not been able to tolerate whey protein drinks, I cannot consume 8 ounces of liquids. Prostat 64 required only 30 ML for 15 grams of protein.

“I have never had anything gag me as much as this product. Being newly postop, my fear of throwing up is huge. I can't drink this stuff, so it's nutritional value doesn't matter!”

“I absolutely could not tolerate the taste of it either straight or mixed cold drinks and adding other flavors. It still was nasty & had lingering after taste in my mouth. I feed it to my dogs to add protein to their diets. Even they objected to the taste unless I added canned dog food to it to mask the flavor!”

“This stuff is the easiest way to get protein in; no chugging Cookie and Cream or Peanut Butter sludge. Just pure, unadulterated protein. I must warn you though, this stuff tastes like Death masked with Cherry. It's like Bockley's Mixture... only it tastes worse, if that's an indication of anything. Do not get if you are picky about taste. DO get it if you just want to get your protein in and be done with it. (:”

“It is a horribly nasty taste but an easy 15 grams of protein in only 2 tablespoons, so I just chase it with a drink of my fruit concentrate or water.”

“This stuff sucks! The taste and smell are enough to make you sick. I tried to take a shot of it and I hurled it back up. I was very upset beccause I was early pre-op and didn't want to stress my pouch and this stuff was $35 with shipping. Also I tried to mix it with several different drinks and the taste is still pungent. I would not buy this product again.”

“I purchased the Wild Cherry. YUK! I am NOT picky but I couldn't down this product. I mixed it in a smoothie but still left alot to be desired. I never used it more than a day. However, I purchased 2 bottles, and Nutritional Direct was wonderful in letting me return the unopened bottle.”

“The wild cherry flavor was a life saver for me. 1 oz with 1 oz water, down the hatch. 15g protein in one 2 ounces of liquid. The after taste is not so bad if you brush your teeth with baking soda tooth paste. I rinse/gargle with choice mouth wash. I sip on 40 ounces of isopure the rest of the day in addition to the protein I get form meals. ”

“This was the worst possible thing to take. It made me gag, and thats not what you want to do after surgery. I was horrified when I found out that this product was recommended by my dietician. I didnt want to go against her advice but it was the last thing I would take or recommend to anyone. It tasted like supersweetened bile with a butter pecan after taste.”
