“I love most of the Zone Perfect Bar flavors. I love the new Chocolate Almond Raisin. Totally yummy!! These do pack over 200 calories each and don't pack as much protein as I'd like (around 15 per bar). But as an afternoon pick up or snack I think they are a good substitute for junk food. Also they now have some in a smaller size which is more feasible for new post ops that can't eat the bigger bars.”

“Peanut Butter and the Chocolate Mint were my favorites. And now I have to add the Chocolate Almond Raisin as quite good also, althou, sometimes the almond flavoring is a bit strong and the bar too sweet. But it really satisfies my sweet tooth, when I'm craving something. The only protein bar I've found that's close to how good these are is not a Zone bar but "Balance Gold" in the Caramel Nut Blast flavor - not bad for protein bars!”

“Three words: CHOCOLATE ALMOND RAISIN. This is the most awesome flavor, and it doesn't taste how it sounds. It has nearly whole almonds in it, crunchiness, no discernable raisins, really, but it is soooooo good. I think what makes it, is that it is sweet, but not overly so. Half of one of these with my starbucks in the morning, starts my day off with major satisfaction and kicks hunger in the butt for hours. If I'm feeling really hungry, I eat the whole bar! :-D This starts nearly every day for me. TRY THIS FLAVOR. You wont be sorry!”

“When I was pregnant with my son, I had diabetes. I went to a counselor/nutritionist each week and learn so much about the correct balance of carbs/proteins/fats from her and the importance of that balance to control blood sugars without insulin. The Zone Bars are PERFECT for that. You want to have a good about of protein after surgery but you MUST balance it with the appropriate amount of carbs and fats for your body to be most efficient. So, for those thinking there are too many carbs/sugars...there isn't!! A quick way to check is to take the amount of protein (in grams) and divide by 7. Then take the amount of carbs (in grams) and divide by 10. Those two results should be almost equal for a good balance. So for a zone bar with 22 gm carbs and 16gm protein...the result is 2.2 carbs to 2.3 protein! PERFECT!!”

“I was using this product post op. What I didnt realize was it was extremely high in sugar and carbs. I also didn't realize that the amount of protein it advertises is mostly a type of protein that is not able to absorb into the body. A total waste for a gastric-bypass patient. Thought I was doing the right thing with my protein intake only to find out from a nutritionist that I definently was not gettin much (if any) protein from these bars!”

“Duane Reade in NYC has these for 1.49 and sometimes .99 or buy 1 get 1...I love the zone bars. On average, they are 210calories, 22g of carbs, 7g of fat and 16g of protein. They are very un-like the typical protein bar, they kill any sweet cravings I have and taste like a candybar to me. I love the Double Choclate, Choc Peanut Butter (fav), Choc Mint, Fudge Graham, Raspberry Choc, Vanilla Creme.”
