Hello fellow artists, I just wanted to share with you all that I'm leaving my comfort zone(my usual style)and going to try painting something new. I've always admired the pin-up artist of the 40's and 50;s so I've decided to give one of these a try. For a long time I've wanted to do this but felt a little leary because I don't want to produce a "messed up canvas" but if I don' take my own advice and "just let myself go" how will I know if I can do it or not ? Scary territory for me similar to the way I felt about having WLS ,but I did that and I can do this too. Wish me luck as I lay down the drawing today onto the canvas. Here's wishing you all a happy and productive day !!!!!! Brenda

Good Luck..I just started painting. I am designing my own tatoo. I have painted with acrylic before but never with oil paints.

Ms Na Na, that is so "cool"that your designing your own tatoo ! I want to get a tatoo myself and plan to design mine to, but I can't think of what I want or where I want it. My first choice was to have a tatoo across my back from shoulder to shoulder. Then I thought of getting one running up my leg as a rose vine. The one across my back would be on my upper back and for this I thought maybe a giant angel with her wings spread and the name of my deceased father and mother above each wing. I don't know for sure what I'm going to do , what are you designing for your tatoo? Let me know I'd like to see what others come up with. Take care and I'll see you later. Brenda

Pin-ups sound so cool! I can't do people, not that talented. I am a landscape lover and seascape specialist. I am also contemplating a tattoo when I reach goal. It is a planned reward for me. I am thinking about a small delicate butterfly just above my ankle or on my clavicle. To me it will signify my own metamorphosis. Nice to meet both of you!
