    I Learned 2 Things

    I learned 2 things.
    1. Scrambled eggs HATE me and do not taste the same coming up as going down, nor do they come up easily, they put up a hell of a fight.   Grrrr {Psst I won though}
    2.  If you wait until after you have had your BM for the day you can get under 400 lbs WOOT WOOT I did it I am UNDER 400.  Not by much but who cares I am UNDER 400!!!!

Congratulations on getting to your goal!!

Have you tried just scrambled egg whites? Might be a little easier going down. Though.. I think it defeats the purpose of eating them for protein then too.. I believe that's all in the yolk? lol

    Hang in there!

I was told by someone that if you scramble the egg in chicken broth... you get egg drop soup which seems to go down much easier.  Have got all the chinese resturants booked for delivary orders....it might make it easier for digesting it.

Just a hint they gave me to try.

Eggs were the first solid food I was allowed to eat and the first solid food I threw up lol. I still can't do eggs much but if they are fried or scrambled it makes it worse. I found out that I can't tolerate fat very well so anything fried or cooked in butter/fat makes me sick. Congrats though on getting below 400 lbs! You must be ecstatic!!

God I hate waiting.... I wish I could be as comfy looking as she looks waiting, waiting, waiting Yada Yada Yada  Oh Hum.......Ha Ha.

So exciting to get under 400 lbs :)   300 lbs too!  :)   Don't give up on eggs, keep trying them.  Find a way that they will work.   One of the biggest mistakes by us to is to give up on solid protein cause it 'doesn't feel good'.  Sliders and carbs always go down easy.  Chicken, eggs and beef can be hard but we need those solids.   The sensors are at the top of your new pouch to tell  your brain you are full.   Those sensors must be touched for 45 minutes so the brain will tell you that you are not hungry for 5 hours.  This is why we don't drink during meals.  Slider foods, which are easier don't stick around long,so those sensors are not set off at all.
    Good luck Elizabeth.

Do you happen to have any idea how long it takes those sensors to heal?  I still do not get full.  I am on puree'd and I don't get full I eat by measurements.  i do admit though that the one time I ate some chicken shredded {for some reason when I started puree'd I was thinking minced and ate that way for one meal before I realized that's not puree'd} and the minced chicken was the first time I ever felt full.  It was a wonderful feeling and lasted a "long" time.  I am 2 days short of 3 weeks out but I don't get full is this normal?
If you know lol if not, Hi there, thanks for the reply.  Your doing amazing on your weight loss WTG

That not full feeling is horrible! Are you hungry all the time still too? I'm day 5 on Optifast... more than 5 weeks to go on it. I feel like I'm hungry all the time and can't wait until after surgery when I don't feel it anymore... I hope that's the case.. I really really do. I know I just think I'm dying lol

If you felt full on the chicken.. maybe it was because of the protein? Doesn't it take longer to break down proteins? I'm not sure. Are you drinking the protein drinks? I was told protein makes you feel full and full longer. I'm thinking of picking up some protein shake stuff now instead of waiting until after just to try and curb some hunger.

Here's the list I was given by one of my nutritionists...

Whey Protein Isolate 24g Prot per serv. $55 for 2lbs
Whey Protein fruit splash 20g $37 for 750g
    Iso Pro 35g $40 for 908g
    Soy Extra Natural 21g $29.99 for 600g
New Whey (Bullet) 1 vial (3.1 Fluid Oz) 42g prot. $40.00 for 12 vials (Nut said this was an excellent prod!)
    Whey Gourmet 21g $38.00 for 2lbs
Resource Beneprotein 6p $24.99 for 227 grams (pharmacy may have to order this one. ..nut said great prod also)

Elizabeth, I was told it takes 3-5 months to heal up after surgery. The not feeling full feeling should pass. I had the weirdest feelings right after surgery. I would eat and when I did get full my tummy would growl like crazy and "feel" hungry even though I knew I was full. You have to kind of play off your instincts I think, don't overdo anything. Also, head hunger is a powerful thing. You might not realize it's head hunger until you really concentrate and ask if you are really actually hungry or if it's your head telling you that you are. I had to stop watching tv for a while after surgery, the food commercials played with my head like you wouldn't believe lol

It takes a while, as Gina said, about three months for it to heal.   So important to measure at this time Elizabeth.   I doubt if you, as I know I wasn't real good 'eye balling' any measurement.   This is what got me to the weight I was.   When after surgery I started to measure, it certainly was an eye opener as far as how much pre-op I was eating.   Some things you will feel full on, chicken being one of them.. salads.. man, I can eat much more salad that protein.  Over time, you'll know what you can eat more of.  Salad goes to mush with our amount of chewing.  Right now is the optimum time to lose, your body is in ketosis.  Enjoy this.  The farther out you go, the harder it can be.  At times discouraging as the pounds start coming off by the weeks, not days anymore.  But it's all good right?   We are less than we were yesterday, last week, even last month.  We have made a decision to live, to enjoy life.    The scale is heading in the right direction. :)  Weight loss is going well.  I have 82 more to go :)   Then about 15 pounds of skin to deal with, but it's all good.

Under 400!!!  Honnie that is remarkable!!! Congrats!!!  The is you're first of so many successes you will have!  Just think, never again, will there be a 4 in the begining of your weight!  That's so great honnie! I'm so proud of you!  The best time to always weigh yourself to get an accurate reading, is first thing in the morning, before you eat or drink anything, naked, and after you have a bm!!!!  Also, eggs suck...  lol

Congrats Elizabeth, you are just moving right along.
Lots of people have to eat by measurments at first.  The full feeling is different early out.  So hang in there.  Your doing fine.
