Does the Ottawa weight management clinic usually call you to confirm your appointment? Here's why I'm asking..... I got called in October to book my next appointment (I was at the info session in March) and I wrote down the date of the appointment (with Dr. Dent) as January 3rd, but now I am starting to second guess myself and am wondering if it's really February 3rd. I will call tomorrow morning to confirm, but I am wondering if anyone can tell me if the clinic usually calls to confirm appointments. I really hope it's tomorrow because I got myself psyched up for it and this wait has been too long!!!!

Hi Diana,

I never got a call to confirm appointments.  They provided me with an appointment card when they gave me the appt.  I kept them in my wallet to review.  I also added them to my electronic calendar (so I had more than one reminder!).

Hopefully it is tomorrow, so you can progress!!

Thanks ladies!!!!!! So glad to hear they don't normally call to confirm. Also, I just looked back at my post from the day I got called and even then I said it was January 3rd. I think I'm just in disbelief that I am actually going to an appointment! 

They have called me a few times to confirm appointments, but they didn't call for all of them. The only thing I could think of is that when they called to confirm the appointment they may of been having a slow day or all caught up with their work. In 3 yrs I think they've confirmed 2-3 appts. Hopefully you're appointment is tomorrow, best of luck.

I had 2 out of 3 appts with Dr. Wicklum confirmed.

 I never received a reminder either.

I got called when the appointment was with a Dr. usually about a week in advance.
