I've purchased Click at Shoppers Drug Mart in the past. Not a real high protein drink and it does have caffeine too. It does taste pretty good for a coffee style drink.

Visalus shakes are junk. A lot of people in my group gave been swayed into them..... But they do not meet guidelines as there is not enough protein per carbs. They are more soy than whey too. People always get swayed by the taste but of course it tastes good ---- there's hardly any protein on them!! There's a lot more options that are better --- taste, taste and taste some more. Just dont buy too many before surgery as what tastes good before surgery may not taste good after surgery. It's a weird phenomenon but some people do find that their tastes change.

You are right to look for a better shake!

I love Whey Gourmet, it has great stats plus great taste. The Nature's Best Whey Isolate you can get online or in the US also has a multi vit/mineral in it.

For vitamin/mineral formulas if you can get your hands on Bariatric Advantage Chewables those are great.
If not, try to find some other form of chewable or liquid based ones as they are most easily absorbed.
You will need a multi, calcium citrate with vitamin D and some form of B12 (shot or sub-lingual).

Syntrax Nectar gets my vote. after surgery, I couldn't do any protein powder mixed with milk. Too thick and made my pouch grumpy. I did Fuzzy Peach and Ice Tea then. These days I use Cappuchino in my morning coffee and vanilla Torte for other stuff, occasionally Lemon Iced Tea after exercise.

For minerals immediately post op, I would order calcium citrate powder from Well.ca. I did a chewable sugar free Quest multi, but it's a women's mix, not sure if they have a general one. I use the Costco chewable C which is sugar free. Best chewable calcium chew is the Bariatric Advantage Citrate.
