I am so excited.  Went for my nutrition class on Friday, June 15th at HRRH  (which was great as there were lots of questions and people seemed more relaxed) and asked at that time if there were any cancellations for the RD/SW/RN appt.  The receptionist replied, yes can you come on Monday the 18th and I jumped for joy.  So I am on my way tomrrow morning once again. I live about 2 hours north of Toronto.  My husband came with me for my appointments and my daughter is coming with me for  these ones.  I am nervous but happy that maybe my date with be sooner than later.  Thanks everyone here for all the info and support.

Good for you Nancy! I hope now that my referral has been sent for processing I will start getting appointments too. I will be in touch with you and Monica soon. I am still dealing with some health probs, have a funeral to attend this Thurs and my Wedding anniversary this Fri. Hopefully I will be finished with my home care RN appts this coming week too. It's Carol here. We met on Friday at the information session. I too am so excited! I will be at HRRH tomorrow to see Dr. Glazer at 11:15. Perhaps we will see one another.
I wi****oo had someone coming with me but its not meant to be right now. I don't want to ask for favours as I hope that, should I pass all the tests to be accepted for the surgery, I can call in friend favours to help post-op.
What time is your appointment tomorrow and with whom? We can compare notes tomorrow evening via email!

Hi Carol!

Great to hear from you. We must have karma right now as I was pulling out my paperwork and found your business card and thought I must send a note off to you right now and you were obviously on the board here. I have my appointments at 9:00 a.m., 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. for the Social Worker, Dietician and RN, not necessarily in that order. My daughter is coming with me tomorrow. She is a new mom on maternity leave right now. She is a RN, B Scn. and has some reservations about my decision to have this surgery. I will look for you tomorrow and hope that we meet up.
