A reminder that the Bytown Benchers are meeting Tuesday evening at the Bronson Centre from 7:30-9:00. Note that we are in a different room this month....still on the second floor, but it is the Ottawa Room.
As always, this meeting is open to people at all stages of their weight loss surgery journey...pre-op, post-op and post-post op.
This month, we have a guest speaker. Dr. Emilie Perras, a chiropractor, will be joining us and will talk about dealing with the challenges that come with rapidly changing bodies. She will also provide members with a posture analysis.
Please bring a $3 contribution for cost-recovery and any clothes you wish to swap.
Come early if you can to help with the set up, or stay late to help with the clean up.
For those who are new, if you aren't sure about attending on your own for the first time, feel free to bring a support person with you or contact me and we'll arrange a member to buddy-up with you.
There will be a draw for door prizes.
Also, a reminder that I am looking for anyone interested in planning and running the meeting in August. Send me a message if you would like to do this.
Although an RSVP is not our norm, please try to give me an idea of whether or not you will make it out on Tuesday evening, so I can get a rough count of how many people there will be and consequently, can give our guest an approximation of how many posture analyses, etc..
We will also do a round-table check-in, as per usual, although we may do it later in the meeting once Dr. Perras has finished her presentation.
Anyone who wants a bit more social time is welcome to come for coffee following the meeting.
I realize this reminder is a bit late...the holiday weekend snuck up on me. Please pass the word along and if someone could cross-post onto Facebook, I would appreciate it as I am on my way out the door.
See you Tuesday....Happy Canada Day from your Nation's Capital!!!!
