I am almost two weeks post op and have picked up a horrible cold with chest congestion, bad cough and lots of aches.
Just wondering other than taking crushed Tylenol has anyone ever tried oil of Oregano? Any suggestions are much appreciated.

I would suggest good old fashioned Vicks on your chest and make up a nice ho****er Lemon juice with some ginger and splenda (homemade neo citran) with your tylenol. Hope you feel better soon. Oh and if you need cough mixture look for one that is sugar free there are lots.

Ok great thanks. I have been drinking ho****er with lemon all day but certainly will slather on the Vicks tonight
I go for my two week follow up on Thirsday so I suppose if its really bad still he may give me something.

Also keep in mind that most cold meds have alcohol and it will affect you more now, so try to avoid driving

It may seem silly, but put the vics on your feet and cover with socks.  It works great.

Might be a bit early in your recovery to do Oil  of Oregano. Might irritate your pouch and intestines.  I'd wait 6 months or so. Then try to find one that is Glycerin based.
