hotel stays

I have been given  surgery date for November 12 at Humber regional health CENTRE with Dr. Klein. I live three hours from the hospital can any suggest a decent hotel with decent pricing in the area or fairly close to the hospital. Thanks so much in advance 

 

There are a few hotels right across the street from HRRH. My husband and I stayed at the Comfort Inn, very nice with a fridge and microwave in the room. They have a bariatric rate that is slightly lower than their normal rate.

If you look on sites like Groupon and Dealfind they often have great hotel deals for hotels near Pearson airport (10 minutes from HRRH). Just read the fine print to make sure the dates work for you and that parking is included. You can pick up some great deals, especially at that time of year.

and you can see the comfort Inn from the parking lot of HRRH, only moments away and apparently have rates for ppl coming in for surgery.

Reminder to keep your receipts for the hotel and mileage... If I'm not mistaken you can claim these items on income tax.  I lived too close for it to count...but you may qualify.

makes sense to stay right across from Humber, your husband can walk across the street and avoid hospital parking charges. I believe there is also a holiday inn express, check out which one has a room fridge/ microwave oven, that way your hubbie can heat food and you'll also have a fridge for,your protein shakes when you get out of the hospital.

I am good to go start opti fast on October 22nd have it all ready and have my protein shakes for after as well as most of my vitamins, I found some different hotel that are all close by some have some really good prices.  Thanks for all the help :)
