I have serious doubts but I'm curious if anyone with benefits through work etc.. Had there optifast covered? I was going to send my receipts in to see what they would say. Just curious

They don't cover unless you have a health reimbursement account where it will cover for things outside your coverage. Hope this helps.

My benefits wouldn't cover Opti because it had no DIN#

Some insurance companies will, and some won't.  Call the insurance company first and find out - if they say no, then keep the receipts for when you do your income taxes.

My manulife wouldn't (no DIN) but my husbands health spending account did.

I sent mine in just in case, got a letter back stating no DIN no coverage. Tucked the receipt away for income tax next year.

It's worth a try.

I've never heard of anyone getting it covered under a drug plan. Like other posters have said, no DIN, no coverage. That said, I was able to get it covered through my health spending account. Something to look into if you have access to an HSA.
