Hi all,

I am going to be having surgery at St. Josephs, and I wondered if anyone could share their experiences with the three surgeons there - Anvari, Hong, and Gmora.

If this is covered elsewhere and I should be reading something that already exists, any direction you could provide would be much appreciated.

Cheers,

Sara

Hello,

I can only speak to Dr. Gmora, but he has been great.  He has always answered all my questions and takes the time to go over everything in detail.

Not sure where you are in the process, but overall Hamilton has been a great go.

Cheers,
John

Thanks!

They expect I will be having surgery in November. I have to see one last pancreatic specialist next week but they don't anticipate any further hold-ups.

So excited!

I had dr anvari.  He is very accomplished but basically sends his intern to do everything.  Day after my surgery he came to see me and it felt like he couldn't wait to leave the room.  He was practically out the door as I was asking if I had the sleeve or bypass as he wasn't sure which prior to surgery I would get.  Didn't have a chance to ask anything else.

DR HONG is AMAZING....that man has an amazing bedside manner. I am anurse trust me lol....
he is a great Dr and a very nice man. I had complications and the way he handled things the way he communicated with me, and reassured me was incredible couldn't have asked for any other surgeon there.
I was in the office every week or every other week , always got seen when I had problems and he always made me feel welcomed.
you know its bad when your surgeon knows your name from the waiting room lol
I had a second surgery he did emergency surgery the night after he admitted me and he came back next morning ( not suppose to be on the floor working) to talk to me and check on me.
Have a great day....Kany
