Holy snaps!  I biked 20.6 km today!  8 months ago I'd be lucky to bike 2 lol...I only started riding 4 days ago so I'm excited to see where I can push myself to.  On a side note, that 20km burnt about 1000 calories...which is what I eat in a day..anyone have any clue how many extra I should consume when I do a big workout like that?  I feel like I have a pretty good grasp on nutrition now, but this I have no idea about.

Congratulations on your ride. I remember my first big ride and how great it felt to be so mobile.

Having some extra protein or something like a banana helps. Do not assume that because you burned 1000 calories you can eat that much.

Congratulations, 20k is awesome! My centre recommended the Detour smart bars, you can get them at Costco for cheaper.  I have been working out harder than ever lately, just feel ready to step it up, and I was wondering the same. Sometimes I feel a little dizzy after I work out intensely, and worry maybe I need to be feeding myself more or differently.
